This young Polish gravity brand is growing up pretty fast. Anyone heard about Dartmoor outside Poland few years ago? This year you can find them in more than 25 countries all around the world. Their team and test riders are checking performance of their frames and components to support them in constant development of their products. And what you can expect in 2011 - have a look at this hot preview. But this is only a part of their new collection. To see more you should visit their Eurobike booth or wait for more detailed press release in the future.

Frames and parts inside,Their team riders like Szymon and David Godziek (Shamann brothers), Marek Lebek (Maro), Alexey Sinayko, Scott Alleyn, Thomas Zejda together with many test riders are checking performance of their frames and components on DJ/slopestyle spots, skateparks, BMX ramps, 4X courses and Freeride tracks to suport them in constant development of their products. And what you can expect in 2011 - have a look at this hot preview. Most of these photos were not published anywhere so far. But this is only a part of their new collection.  i wish i could just fave this whole page.. everything looks sooo sick!

Cool thing about Dartmoor is that even if their stuff is not top-notch, the pricign and marketing is done accordingly to that quality. And that happens very very rarely in the industry. If you are looking for guys keeping it real: It's DARTMOOR. In fact it is the same quality as NS bikes, Deity, Da Bomb and many others who claim their products to be cult, epic, superb family owned bla bla bla.

They are very modest in general and I totaly respect that.

DARTMOOR is great!

I generaly don't care about this propping system but I got curious that most of positive comments are getting negpropped, and most of these negpropps are by Polish people: I love some of my fellow "underaged" countrymen, for keeping the former communist system values: bring your own country down, yes!

You would do your country better favour if you stay on dhzone.com and don't show up on international forum with that attitude because there is nothing more stupid than crapping in your own garden. You are not any better than "defenders of the cross" you also toss a poo towards presidents palace

this stuff looks really nice, all the frames look sick and are really decent weights, lovin the pedals, nice to see they didnt just take the nukeproof / superstar / kona wah-wah design and put their name on it lik sooooo many others! im gonna keep an eye out for dartmoor in the UK this stuff could be BIG pretty soon.
  • 1 0
I'm not totaly sure how many of the stuff they produce is truly their designs head to toes. They did some components (hubs, handlebars, stems etc.)in the past that I PERSONALY THOUGHT were looking like "put a sticker on massively produced stuff" BUT! a big BUT(t)! they did not whined about it how good and epic and hightech they are, plus they had the best price on the market on these. I think that is more than fair.

Their frames though are pretty much truly their designs, and they are really good. Surely done in some massive production factory doing frames for many companies, but still these are pretty good frames at reasonable price, and I think better than many of more pricey products of other companies. I.e I doubt if frames like Giant ATP, Kona Shred are better than these.
  • 2 0
yeah well you gotta start somewhere and if mass produced chinese design is where these guys got their hubs and bars and stems ect, then that is their descision and it seems to be working for them Wink it all looks sick. and they did say that THEIR riders had tested certain things so i would deffianetly say they had big in-put for the designs, lets wait and see where dartmoor is in a couple of years . . . my guess, WC circuit with some big names onside!
  • 1 0
most of stuff produced is from Far East. The thing is how much effort you spend time testing the stuff before it hits the production line. Second thing: what is the price tag you set on it: how good engineer/businessman you are to lower production/shipping costs and at the same time how greedy you are. These are good guys doing a great job!
  • 3 0
I've been watching Dartmoor for a little while now, the stuff looks good, the price is really competitive, and from what I've read everything they put their name on they've tested extensively, I'd like to know more. I know there are at least a couple of Dartmoor distributors on Pinkbike who are bound to have seen the products first hand, perhaps they can offer some honest insight? For what it's worth the prop system seems to be misused a lot and people just neg prop comments they don't agree with, but never reply with any good reason why they would do so. I find comments with sound reasoning, whether they be positive or negative, much more useful.
  • 3 1
I don't really care about props, it's a bit of a "people need to know what's good and what's not". bam negprop you are a bad guy. You said it's sick! bam positive, you are cool! easy to identify who is the man right? Pop-media era people don't want to bother too long, consider who's the man, but yea we need to know who's the man! +24: I must to add him to a friend list! - 6 oh there's some dork - ignored!. I got angry and shouted out because I don't like people bringing down their own people
  • 1 0
couldnt agree more! with waki and postfach you both hit the nail on the head with thse comments guys
  • 1 0
What is the difference between dirtbikes and 4x bike?
The headtubeangle is the same (69°) the wheelbase is shorter but what else? How does it feel riding these 2 different frames in gerneral?
  • 1 0
dirt frame is designed to be single speed, 4x has vertical dropouts for geared ridiing and is probably lighter weight for racing
  • 1 0
i didnt evem see those white bars until i looked the second time! dartmoor components look sooo nice!
  • 1 0
To Sysics, dirtjump bikes have shorter seattubes and higher bb's. Dirtjump bikes use these features to give the rider leverage for spins, and it allows the nose to be dumped into bowls at skateparks easier. I don't have any experience with 4X bikes, but the ultimate goal is ease of cornering, so bb's are lower, and pedaling efficiency, so seattubes are higher. Dirt jump bikes do not go on as rough of courses as 4X bikes: ultimately a dirt jump bike is made to be less stable than 4X bike.
  • 1 0
i love their bikes because im a small rider so i need my ride to be as lightweight as possible on a budget and their bikes are both lightweight and affordable

I'm one of the the said distributors that have been with Dartmoor for a while now. We've had both 2009 and 2010 frames come through as well as both 2009 and 2010 components. The new frames have been absolutely amazing: both in the construction and the finish, the price is excellent as well. Although the Aussie scene is tiny compared to every where else (mostly XC and dh race here as the WC podiums reflect I guess) it's still new and comp's are still to be created so in a couple of years when we get the facilities and rider base it should be great.

The fever pedals, funky stems and the raider rims have been really popular, most are hesitant with a new brand but those who have jumped on board have been super stoked with the products and we've seen return customers that speaks volumes. Heck the Australian Dartmoor rider features on Australia's best MTB magazine cover for this issue.

The guys are testing, developing and pushing what they can make, and kudos to them instead of sitting back like so many other companies. They are on the ball and wanting to bring everyone the best products they can at price that lets us compete with OS sales, for us that's huge.

Personally I can't wait for those new phantom frames, with the full line of Dartmoor, some x-fusion vengeance should make for a very deadly little bike that weights very little.

my bikes covered in the gear, gets used for everything from all mountain to shuttling Downhill, and I've not had a single issue. that includes bars, stem, wheel sets, cranks, chain guides, grips etc. Oh and our rider's have been more than happy with the gear. And the fever pedals have proven to better than my Dark cycle arachnids and many other premium ones.

I'm in Poland right now and when i went to the Tarnowkie Gory, I honestly coulnd't believe how many Dartmoor bikes i saw, crazy. I can't wait to buy this stuff, i feel like a little kid in a candy shop just from looking at the pictures, this stuff all looks amazing. When are the completes comming out?
  • 1 1
Everybody says "oh I love it", "oh its co clear and great and awesome and.." other etc. You know what is the true thing about Dartmoor? It is NOT a rider owned brand. It NOT a brand who is even listening the riders. It is NOT a brand who is carring about the riders. IT IS a company who is choosing parts in the office in the business suit, ordering a colourfull parts in a cheap factories and selling it in a top prices, earns a lot of money in treking market and do a lot of marketing noise in dirt segment. I am an woman and I have to say the parts on photos above ARE looking good (only looking)but 'looking good' its not everything. For me this brand have no the most important thing: THE BIKERS SOUL!
Each of as has our owns brain, and if you think deeper, you will as confused as me at this moment: WHY DA FU*K PEOPLE ARE LOVING DARTMOOR?
Have a good winter, more fun and less injuries Smile
  • 1 0
Sometimes it is better not to tell anything than repeating bullshits after someone who broke agreement and now spend his time for posting neg props. BTW - say hello to Szwed. And certainly have a good winter and less injuries too !!
  • 2 0
Dude, the thing is that 75% of Dartmoor constructions come out from my head. Please, check out my profile, do I look like a corporate rat? I'm really sad while reading such things because my driving force to create is a clean passion and such texts are just killing it!
  • 3 0
Awesome produc+s and killer new frame "shine"
All your par+s look so wicked!
ShineOn!!!
  • 1 1
Ive been using the proto Rage stem since early May and its really solid. I was eager to get something expensive and nonsense just for my gear mania but Im very happy with how it performs. No flex and it takes a beating like it should. Im a frequent crasher, my bars look like they ve been atacked by a rabid bear and the stem still holds. If it lived threw alpe d huez, les 2 alpes and Maribor (1 week each) than Im quite certain it can take abuse.
  • 3 0
they are cool im getting the 2010 dartmoor quinny its sick

  • 2 0

  • 1 0

  • 1 0
Why is everyone Neg propping, 3 comment guy...?
  • 2 1
i was thinking the same, seems to be anyone that has said the word LEGIT is gettin neg props
  • 5 0
that's a polish thing as most of negproppers here are Polish... If you feel miserable, bring someone down too to feel better that you are not the only one.

There is a sad Polish joke describing it best: - a farmer prays to God: oh dear God why did you give my neighbour this fine milky cow? - God answered: ok so you will get you a better one? - no I want his to die

If there is anything I would really like to complain about in my country is people like these...
  • 2 0
and all the bad wishes to Piotr Szwed Szwedowski here a former Banshee team rider, even he negpropped a positive comment, he who in an interview to polish mtb mag said so much about being real. Go tattoo this vipdick on your forehead, I don't know how VIP you are, but the second part serves you well.
  • 1 0
haha lol ok the cow joke, are they all like that?
  • 1 0
there's a lot of that mentality unfortunately, it's a legacy of communism (I wish to think). When you are brought down by the system for so long then this is what happens. On my studies most of us were told so many times that you are useless, you know sh... you will never find job.
  • 1 0
 OMG thats terrible!
  • 2 0
U see the circle closes, the guys that told these things to us, were probably told stuff that's even worse. Only thing you can do with that is have a good laugh from them at the end of the day, cuz after all, these basterds were all wnkrs Big Grin
  • 1 0
Hey Waki, same shit here. Try not to bother yourself with all those ignorant people.
I personally am very happy that finally nice products are coming form the "eastern blokk".
Dartmoor frame designs are really clean. Like it!

  • 1 0
Ghetto is in da house Smile . What means it will be still one of our top poducts. As it is written in this release - this is only part of new collection. To see more - come to Eurobike or wat for more exact press releases in close future Smile .
  • 1 0
you guys deserve to be on inter-bike too Wink
  • 1 0
Eurobike is much bigger and much better organized. But certainly for American market is good to be there. So who knows ... Wink .
  • 1 0
I just hope this is not going to be overpriced like everything...
  • 3 0
Dartmoor is far from over priced tup
  • 1 0
trust me, dartmoor arent an overpricing company, but at the end of the day, people have to earn a living. luckily the exchange rate should give an even better price for us in the uk. www.slam69.co.uk first shop in uk to stock dartmoor products, when they finally arrive Smile

Does anybody know if that DH stem is compatible with the Fox 40's?
  • 1 0
it's a Direct Mount stem,so it will fit on the fox 40
  • 1 0
 Confirmed Smile .
  • 1 0
but the stem may be a boxxer standard or a fox 40 standard
  • 1 1
That is the same as I know. Marzocchi is different.
  • 1 0
Direct Mount standard is the same for Boxxer/Fox/New Dorado/Bos and supposedly marz 2011. Probably some other smaller manufacturers too. Older fox forks may have had a different standard but it must have been some time ago.
  • 2 2
Ive had nothing but bad experiences with dartmoor. I would never recommend them.
