This one image of Bas captured exactly what we loved about riding and we immediately fell in love with his style. At that point, they had filmed one edit, had recently started riding mountain bikes, and their talent was widely apparent to us. So, we tracked Bas down and offered him a spot on our Fresh Blood Grassroots program only to find out that his brother was just as nasty on a bike! We love supporting up and coming talent, but we had no idea that both Bas and Tom would become two of our favourite riders ever and a key part of the future of Deity. I will never forget the first time I saw Tom ride a downhill bike. Tom is not just a slopestyle athlete, he is insanely fast on a bike and could be a competitive DH racer if he wanted to. During that period, both Bas and Tom were incredibly appreciative to be on the Grassroots team, they were humble, active with our company, and within 3 months we were bumping them up into our Pro program. We have not looked back since and we will always have their back. - Eric Davies (Deity, Owner) |
Honestly, their style on a bike is phenomenal and easily some of our favourite in the sport, but we really respect the way they carry themselves off the bike. I have always said that it is not just skill that captures our eye, it is the way a person carries themselves day to day that sets them apart. They have always been grateful, thankful, involved, and a proper representation of our company. We are excited to have signed both Bas and Tom to the Deity Pro team again for 2015, 2016, and we have big plans in store for both of them. They are dynamic riders on two different paths, but to be a part of their support system has truly been an honour and we are excited to be able to do more and more for them. They are family to us and if you have ever heard me speak about them...you would quickly realize that we are some of their biggest fans. Just wait until you see what they do in this sport. They have been turning heads, but it is only the beginning! - Eric Davies (Deity, Owner) |

Does somebody know the title of the song used in the edit?
Goldbloc - Days Are Dreaming
Disclaimer: i'm rarely serious.
@cherouvim - it is called "sleep deprivation" but remember that drugs are only amplifiers of who you really are inside. They are keys to the inner world. I was writing and drawing some sick stuff in the high school...
Btw the song is: Goldbloc - Days are Dreaming ft. Solei
