TerraLogic Park Industries, the management company of Freelap USA, the U.S. Open of Mountain Biking and Diablo Freeride Park, announced today that it has recently entered into an agreement with Mountain Creek Resort extending its multi year lease of the Diablo Bike Park through the 2012 season. Diablo Freeride Park will continue its bike park and event operations at the popular New Jersey, four-season resort and extensive planning for the 2009 season is already underway.

“Despite high gasoline prices, a slowing economy and sluggish consumer spending, our program has posted another record breaking season with a dramatic increase in annual rider visits”, said Shawn Orecchio, Diablo General Manager. “Each season we continue to push the envelope adding new terrain, creative events and innovative concepts, and our new, extended partnership with Mountain Creek will allow us to really take the program to the next level and solidify our position as market leader. Our new operating agreement provides a stronger foundation which greatly increasing our ability to develop our program at an accelerated rate.”

“Mountain Creek Resort is extremely excited to continue our relationship with TerraLogic Park Industries”, said Frank Deberry, Mountain Creek VP and General Manager. “Diablo Freeride Park has proven to be innovative and aggressive leaders in the growth of mountain biking and we look forward to continuing our partnership through 2012.”

Planning for the 2009 season is in full swing and Diablo Freeride Park will offer another action packed season of events, camps and unique competitions. The U.S. Open of Mountain Biking, America’s most prestigious gravity event, returns to Diablo in 2009 claiming the May 23rd and 24th holiday event date. The 2009 U.S. Open will play host to elite level racers from around the globe, all battling for the coveted U.S. Open title. New for 2009, the U.S. Open will also include a Junior racing class for both the Downhill and Slalom disciplines.

Diablo Freeride Park will also be announcing a reworked downhill race series, a unique IndyCross race concept, a major trail development plan and a revamped bike rental program featuring high-end, custom Jamis Dakar BAM I & II rental bikes.

do not get it my fiend snapped 2 frames in like 6 months... they suck. only reason to get one is to take the parts and then sell the frame as scrape medal.

glad to see the park stay open, wish it was under the management of a real rider though, not a new jersey businessman. New, bigger stunts needed.......
