That guy is one of the few non-sleezy reps I have seen at sea otter. Down to the point, no marketing BS and solid products!

I called about getting some new decals for my Pinscher, and he was like "hey call me in a few weeks and I should have a new batch ready, I'll send some your way for being a loyal customer" goddamn amazing guys.

UK Distribution ? I know its Balfa but their site still reads "These frames are available to pre-order now. Delivery is expected in January 2010" for the Stella.

Glad to hear they have local support, can't wait to see this "secret" product for 2011. big companies should take some notes from them

what the hell? did i hear right that they are using a bmx bottom bracket for the DH frame pivot bears? unusual would like to know how that one works, but cant see why it wouldn't be good.

bmx bottom brackets are pretty good. im glad they are using easy to find bearings. a set is like maybe $25 at your lbs and they just press right in. smart thinking. i like it. i just wish i could afford these bikes..

is it just me or does anyone else not see a way to change the air pressure on that dh shock without removing it adding air and putting it back on

From the Elka Manual : IMPORTANT NOTE:Elka Suspension uses nitrogen to pressurize the reservoir of its shock absorbers. The reservoir pressure is preset at 150 psi from the factory.
THE RESERVOIR PRESSURE IS NOT AN ADJUSTABLE FEATURE !Do not remove nitrogen valve cap.
Also note that this Stella is a prototype the production version have more clearance.

 The stella looks light.

The chainstay joints look weak - but I am NOT an engineer.

flag dobmaster (Apr 27, 2010 at 7:32)
The frame is about 11lbs with the shock and steel coil.
The production frames should be a bit ligther.

The picture of the chainstay joint dosent show it, but the tube is actualy CRAZY think! (the thickest tube on the frame) but it was machined taper at the end to save weigh...so its a fat peice of metal for the most part were the tubes are welded, but get very thin around the edge.

i know but my trail or park has thicker tubing than that, and unless those tubes are super thick on the inside they are still pretty small
