The FR 2350‘s little brother, the DT Swiss E2200 wheelset are designed for All Mountain riding, and are a swanky red color. Light enough to attack long distance uphills and durable enough to clear rough landings, and comfortable in the bike park or on single track attacks, these wheels have steeze, no doubt about it.
The DT Swiss E2200 wheelset utilizes a red hoop, with black spokes and a red hub, all combined to give the wheels a sexy look and are backed by the DT Swiss guarantee. Little brother to the FR 2350 wheelset, these wheels use a sleeved joint at the rim seem instead of welded it up, and are built with DT Swiss's own double butted spokes.
The front wheel features a burly 20mm thru axle for added rigidity, while not adding much weight. A nice benefit of the 20mm thru axle system is it stiffens up the fork legs by adding another support that parallels the arch. Weighing in at 1025 grams, the front wheels is nice and light, and is produced with nothing but Swiss quality.
The rear wheel from the E2200 wheelset comes in 135x10mm spacing, and uses a regular DT Swiss quick release. The driver is a 2 pawl system for reliability and strength, and uses the same double butted spokes as the front wheel. Weighing in at 1255 grams (with the QR), the rear wheel only out weighs the front by 230 grams.
All together these wheels weigh 2280 grams (with the QR), have a sick red finish, and will add some serious brownie points with your local riding crew. Check out DT Swiss-US.com for more information on the E2200, and the other wheels they produce.
Stay tuned to see where these wheels end up, and how they perform.

really amazing wheels! nice color!
this wheel set it's a dream! I'wanna a pair of it!
nice pair of wheels. but to be honest, i don't like colored rims. they never match with any frame color. in my opinion strong colors should be used within the frame area to get a solid and clean look.
yea i agree. unless u can get a really nice custom paint job on the frame to go with a matchin colour scheme with the bars/forks etc..
I think it looks quite. On my new Bike, I´ll have a matt-finished/anodized black frame and mostly black or polished silver parts. Now imagine those red wheels, red pedals and red grips on a nice DH-Frame. I really dig that look.
And their hubs sound sooooo nice! Really solid and "chunky" (though quite loud) sound.

yea... whats not sexy about red wheels and a sleek black frame? (why do i feel like i'm talking about a girl?)
I like the red, it's a change from all the white rims going on. Not that white rims look bad but there starting to get played out
I love the colors, but I hear their rims are soft. Is this true?
Yeah, it is. Heard a lot of rumours and now everybody is confirming it: They're soft like hell! I'd rather have a boring color than rims like wax on my wheels..
This is a new rim for DT Swiss and we will be testing these wheels thoroughly in the coming weeks/months and we'll let you know how they held up. An all new version of the 6.1 rim is rumored to being released early this season, so hopefully that too is stronger than past versions.
last i heard they are super soft hoops. the hubs are a different story though.
yea there soft i had just the 6.1 rim laced to hadleys (same rim thats on the 2350 wheelset) and they got dinged so fast! i run 37-40 lbs of air to.
Damn it dont say red is the new white. . .I like red and now everyone will have red :-(
I loves dem rims!!!!!! I want a set. Does anyone know how much they retail for?
been looking for some nice red rims for ages now
i agree with sunringlerider i have red too
too bad they're not ust
sweet. but i'll stick to my black rims.
i want that so BAAAD!!
sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
I don't know why do companies make colourfull wheels. Red colour is hard to match to anything else....except from black and white...
wow...nice wheels..
if pinkbike said it, thats how its gonna be...soon lots of people are gonna have loads of red parts on their bikes

Thinking about putting these on my Specialized p3 2008. Wonder if they will do it for street riding?
such a nice wheel set up
how much are they going to cost?
witwooooooo
sexy
i want sum haha
i want sum haha
mad sex appeal
id f*ck those wheels hahahah jk JK!
yayayaya i get those wheels next month with my wildcard gona be sweet
It's bad enough cruising around with DT swiss stickers all over your wheels. Now they have to be all bright so you're a true rolling billboard? I'll take some gray Mavic's please.
look like a good pair of wheels although,
would proubly bend in rough DH terain
would proubly bend in rough DH terain
i doubt it, i bet these are gonna be huge on the dh scene this year. light weight being key factor here
the nicest rims i have ever seen
those are some sweet rims you got there
i honestly don't understand this!!!!! as i see it they are merely 70 grams lighter than the 2350 set.......whats the point of releasing two so similar wheelsets?
They're probably cheaper?
FUCKING sexy !! i need white bike !
yeah i wish they had like all colors for rims that would be soo osexy but these i must say would look sooooo sexy on my bike VERY NIOCE
So basically they are 6.1 rims on onyx hubs.
The 2 pawl hub is garbage compared to the star ratchet hubs (440 and 340)
These are a cheap version of the 2350 wheels.
They look flashy but there is a reason they are cheaper.

sweet i wonder how much they are
Stupidest review ever! You told us the color, the weight, and the weight difference between front and rear (like I can't subtract). Then you told us why 20mm axles are good. Oh, and you said, "a two pawl system for stregnth". No one uses a one pawl system and three pawls are the standard so 2 is the weakest made! Just print the product release info next time or send me the product and I'll do a real review.
