Mr. Barelli enjoys the Alpes. There aren't many people that have as much fun on a bike than he does.

Exactly my thought, please stop this kind of riding on official hiking trails, the reputation of us mountainbikers is bad enough as it is...
Otherwise great video, I need to go for a ride now Big Grin

specially here in switzerland...many times the law has tried to ban mountainbikers from the trails... respect please Smile

Don't worry. Barelli now moves to Canada and now we are blessed with his skidding. We are so grateful to do the trailwork so he can skid up trails and look good for his sponsors

@leelau , I appreciate all of the 'dumbing down' you've been doing, and understand the balance of the work:ride ratio. But please, drop the holier than lau attitude about stereotyped trail user groups, endurobros, and calling out people who you've never met. Yohann is one of the nicest individuals in our sport. The kind of guy who stops in the middle of a race to pick up other's garbage, and volunteers his time to ride with the youth. We all give back in our own way, only some of us are dicks about it.

Tell you what @davixxx davis. You want to excuse and make apologies for stupid gratuitous alpine cutties filmed in Swiss trails which are under a microscope; fine - make up whatever justification you want. Holier than lau comes from my disgust at the ridiculous ethics that I see. I'll call out idiotic riding videos every time..

Thanks @leelau for such a constructive comment... But: Do you know me?? Do I know you?? Do you know why I ride bikes?? Do you know what I do for the love of this sport?? I don't think so... So let me explain you something, I'm not here in Canada riding for the Giant Factory Off-Road team because one day I woke up and I said to myself "ohhh this life looks cool, I gonna do that". Noooooooooooo!!!
I'm riding since 1993 (7 years old), because I love to be in the mountains, because I love the nature, because I like to discover some new trail, because I like to push my limits... And I'm doing what I do today because I've always put all my passion, all my love, all my spirit in this sport.
So I'm really sorry if today I share my passion with you, If I help the youth to reach their dreams, if I give my money to the trails builders, if I try my best every day to be a good person, if I skid sometimes when I'm riding my bike....
I may have not taken a shovel in my hands to do some trail work here in Canada, but I'll do it soon with pleasure, and maybe with you "my friend".
Looking forward to see you and ride "your" trail this weekend.

@yoannbarelli. I am glad you see that doing trailwork is a good thing.

I hope you realize the depth of many people's reaction to alpine trail skidding.

I also hope you enjoy the trails of BC and that you understand why so many of us are passionate about the trails and trailwork. I look forward to meeting you one day and maybe also doing trailwork with you

Was hiking up Roches de Naye in Switzerland two weeks ago with the missus.... Saw someone bombing down in the other direction, was instantly filled with jealousy, so many trails to explore over in Switzerland.! Next time I'm taking my bike!

Aren't most of these Trails around Davos?
The area is so awesome, I wish the city would make more of their potential!
Also it would be awesome if the Pischa gondola would run again, the trails around there look great!

...been there, done that. Engadin is fantastic for biking, especially the region around St. Moritz. They did a lot of work on their trails and shaped specific flow trails, as well as did some upkeep work on the wider network. Definitely worth visiting. Here are some of the trails I can recommend (rode them last autumn): www.gpsies.com/mapFolder.do?id=42920
