After you've experienced this place, it never leaves you. Do something at the highest volume, and the rest of your life seems like it's on mute. Do it enough, and all you want is more. It's not addiction. It's passion that begets loyalty. Which begets improvement. Which begets love.

Love for the speed. Love for the juice. Love for the feeling of being truly awake.

I love the park, the feeling, the smells, the energy......but my 9 month old daughter just woke up making that "dadadada, mamamama" sound. I love my life. Enjoy yours.

I love riding my bike. The sound of the hub ticking through the quiet, tranquil woods. The sound of the tyres making that satisfying 'whir' as you rail a packed berm. Darting off through the wood, not a care in the world, because in that beautiful moment nothing else matters but you, the bike and the trail that lays ahead. The thrill of making a mistake but just saving it in that last precious second, riding away with the biggest grin on your face thinking, 'Phew, that was close'. The day you conquer that jump that you've been building yourself up to for weeks, and driving home filled with the best kind of happiness and joy, buzzing all the way into next week.... And the moment you lift your leg off the bike, you can't wait until you can lift it back over again. I love riding my bike.

@danob: I don't really get why? Surely you've got some hills?
  • 1 0
@Olboi: the weather is pretty next level
  • 2 0
@Olboi: We have a few hills, but the bigger ones are unusable, highly illegal/preserved lands...we do our best with what we've got, but we can never compete with that! Razz

I thought I was the only person to lick batteries on vacation. My bags are packed with 9 volts, see you soon Whistler!
  • 7 2
What do 9v batteries and buttholes have in common?

Even though you know it's wrong, you still lick them!

How to create such effect of growing/moving pictures when writing a blog? Sooo wicked. Cool video as well, always great to see something with fresh approach.
  • 13 0
 I kno right?
After including the jQuery javascript library you then include the parallax.js. Then to get the "zooming effect" here on pinkbike on the pic under the video, they use this

img class="news-photo" data-scrolleffect-scale="1.25" data-scrolleffect-type="parallax" style="top: -11.8%; left: 0%; transform: scale(1.09414);">

Another example with scrolling effect here pixelcog.github.io/parallax.js
