Active since 1997 in the south of France, FISE nowadays is the number one extreme sports gathering in Europe, With more than 1,500 riders in several sports: bmx, skate, roller, wakeboard, snowboard ans ski freestyle. Riders such as Dave Mirra, Sandro Dias, Takeshi Yasutoko, Mathieu Crepel, and Shane Bonifays will be there! The last edition, in May 2007, welcomed 220,000 visitors over 5 days. Entrance is free of charge for the audience, and this year there is huge news, FISE organizes the first Mountain Bike Slope style contest! The event is supported by the famous brand Dainese! FISE means "Festival International des Sports Extremes!"
The best European MTB riders, such as Pierre Edouard Ferry, are already confirmed! The concept is to have a real slope style event, a mix of dirt jumps, north shore, road gaps and street elements to encourage big jumps but also technical stuff. MTB has found its ambassador; with FISE the media will widely broadcast the new generation of mountain bikers though TV programs, radio and press. Look at the course; Riders are forced to cross a river!
The competition will be held in the down town of Montpelier, in front hundreds of thousands of people. FISE is from 30th April to 4th of May.
Schedule: training on Wednesday, qualification for amateurs Tuesday the 1st of May and finals for the amateurs are held on Friday the 2nd. Then the bike park will be strictly reserved to the pro riders and the amateur winner. Pro qualification starts on Saturday and the big finals on Sunday, the 4th of May.
There are a lot of prizes from Dainese for the amateur contest, and 3,000 € of cash prize for the Pro contest. To subscribe just fill the Registration Form out, and follow the recommendations.

Looks and sounds fun.
Hudreds of thousands of people...hmmm, sounds like a bit of an exaggeration.
It is in Europe. there could be many people, but I mean even Crankworks only has an audiance of around 12,000.
i love the jumps there buildin in the river. thats a pretty dope concept. would be a bitch if u baild and were stuck in the middle out there haha
also i think by the infront of hundreds of thousands of people it will be trelivised globaly. and with all the clips on youtube the amount of viewers will top well over hundreds of thousands
that is one long ass course... itll be tough for riders th throw down on every jump and keep it together the whole way through... but it is a dope course... itd be fun jus to ride it
