2016 French Enduro Series, Round Two - Val d'Allos Practice Day

by Jan Volbracht

It was a sunny, dusty and hot today in Val d’Allos as the French Enduro Series started to get rolling. The trails were opened to the riders and every one of them had a single run on each of the four stages.

The riders had access to the chairlift to get to most of the stages, but the race will still be very physically demanding. There are only 5 kilometers of transfer between the stages, but the stages contain a lot of pedaling too. Endurance is definitely a factor when it comes to racing tomorrow.

But before turning into enemies on the racetrack, tonight everybody shared a smile, a beer and the traditional paella dinner at the paddock.

Training day in the french series? Looks luike the ews managed to f*ck up the original format as well...

There hardly is an original format. French organizers have been using different formats all the time. Not really fair to blame the EWS.

@jeroenk: the french ES has been using the same format for at least 8 years: walking tracks on friday, and blind racing. As for smaller series: no walk and blind racing. The first time the format changed was for a french EWS. Who to blame then?
