Giro Alpineduro

The perfect riding shoe to complement a pair of wool knickers on those high altitude epics, Giro's SPD compatible Alpineduro has a Vibram sole and styling inspired by the hiking boots your grandfather wore.

Eurobike 2014

The plastic bodied version of Anvl Components' Tilt pedal drops the weight to 300 grams and retails for only $60.

Eurobike 2014

Now that internal cable routing is making a comeback, Park has a solution that should help prevent the rounds of cursing and throwing things that can accompany changing the housing on less-than-perfectly executed designs. Simply feed the blue cable through the frame, running the included magnet on the outside of the frame to guide it if necessary. The other end of the cable has a ferrule that the housing sits in as it is led to the exit. Brilliant.

Eurobike 2014

Limar recently launched a new helmet line aimed at DH and all-mountain riders that includes the full face DH1 and two extended coverage half shell options, the 848DR and the 949DR. Choosing catchy product names doesn't seem to be the company's strong suit.

Eurobike 2014
Santa Cruz has branched out into the accessory market, with their own line of carbon bars that are available in 800 and 760mm lengths with a 35mm clamping diameter, as well as two different 720mm handlebars for use with 31.8mm stems. They are also making a thin, single sided lock-on grip called the Palmdale that's available in a rainbow of colors.

Santa Cruz Bronson CC 25.8lb

The Nomad might be hogging the spotlight lately, but this 25.8 pound Bronson with a Cane Creek Double Barrel and a RockShox Pike is no slouch either.

Eurobike 2014

Five Ten's Dirtbag shoe has looks meant for a casual night on the town, but it still has a non-marking, sticky Stealth rubber sole, which could come in handy if there happens to be a set of dirt jumps between you and your favorite watering hole.

Eurobike 2014

Northwave partnered with Michelin to create the soles on their new shoe line. The Spider Plus 2 uses a ratcheting dial and a single strap at the top of the shoe to adjust the fit.

DMR Bolt. Eurobike 2014

Orange seems to be a popular color this year, but the matte finish on DMR's Bolt was one of the best uses of the hue that I saw. Available as a frame only, the 4130 chromoly frame has 125mm of travel, 26" wheels, and uses a pivot around the bottom that allows it to be set up as a singlespeed.

Eurobike 2014

The days are getting shorter in the Northern Hemisphere, a sign that night riding sesason is just around the corner. Topeak had a line of water bottle cages that have a colored LED in them that causes the water in the bottle to glow. A good option for commuters looking for additional visibility, or a way to fit in should you stumble across a rave deep in the woods.

Eurobike 2014

Evoc had a one piece work suit to go with their new builder's pack. Now even rogue builders can look official.

Eurobike 2014

Tribull had this unique looking aftermarket brake pad on display, complete with graphs to show how well the heat sink worked.

Eurobike 2014

Ever wonder what the inside of a FOX Float X rear shock looks like? FOX had clear plastic versions of their forks and shocks on display in order to show the inner workings. Now if there was only a way to make a rideable version of this.

Eurobike 2014

Forget Interbike, I want to know more about Interboot. It looks way more fun than breathing the stale casino air in Las Vegas for a week.

If SantaCruz is going into the accessories market, they should have launched a stand alone brand name IMO. Some people in the bike crowd might feel weird rocking SantaCruz bars on their Giant/Specialized etc.
  • 2 0
I agree, commencal have branded all there parts "Alpha", and we will see how well it works. I like the quality/pricing of the nukeproof kit but couldn't use any of it on my bike as it just didn't feel or look right

I have Felt pedals and a Barracuda seat post on my Kona and everyone knows my Bontrager rear tyre is from Trek. Specialized have their own brand of tyres, helmets and stuff. Santa Cruz is way cooler than Giant or Specialized. Like putting a Lotus steering wheel in your Toyota Supra or Chevy Corvette.

I do like those Santa Cruz bars.

All black is pretty awesome looking.

I love the simplicity of those dirtbags very nice shoe!!!
  • 14 4
Seriously nobody knows how to make a decent looking shoe.
Vans still makes a couple half decent looking shoes (which is probably because their designs haven't changed much since 1960)

Maybe they are trying to compete with the basketball market for the ugliest shoes around. After seeing Five Ten's recent prices I think they are going to compete price wise also.
  • 1 1
what about five ten? I love my sam hill shoes. Look good, stiff, comfy, amazing grip. A bit heavy for AM but oh well.
  • 13 1
Don't sell yourself short Judge, that Bronson is a tremendous slouch.
  • 2 0
Best comment ever and I totally agree.
  • 4 0
How do you measure yourself against other riders?
By height.
  • 8 0
To clarify - That shoe is actually 6ft long - that's a projector screen in the background. These are actually marketed as affordable alternatives to the tiny rental flats in Europe. You don't order a pair you order a 'duplex'.

I like the idea of the internal cable routing tool. It's a major pain in the neck to route the cables through my Mondraker Summum.
  • 5 0
I totally agree. The tool is cool. But there is no reason you couldnt make your own with a shift cable and a magnet.
  • 1 0
You're right, actually. I'll try the next time I'm guiding cables.
  • 7 0
 That DMR is sexy
  • 5 0
I will do a lot of Motor boating at Inner boat from the looks of it!

Five Tens has always been kinda nice looking shoe , butt...... there are not for casual wear , in my opinion.
Of course you guys will ask me ''Why ?!'' couse there is no cushioning on those insoles , they will pack out in no time.
Vans, Etnies and Emerica has always been just an ideal shoes for casual wear.

Everything in these pictures is sick Big Grin

Those Giro shoes are HIDIOUS!!! Maybe they're targeting Sherpas.
  • 1 0
 look like xc ski boots
  • 1 0
And if they are just as shit durable as their Terraduro they will fall a part after two days of use In the mountains. Worst piece of sh.. I have ever paid to put my feet in. Mine lasted for 2 days at The Trans Savoie and they fall apart. Never Giro shoes again

 haha heat sinks?
I guess that can prevent those rotors from cracking (i was on broken parts photos earlier and saw a lot of torn up rotor)
  • 2 0
Anyone else think that full face looks identical to the lower end offering of 661?
  • 2 0
As it turns out the Limar full face is "powered" by Kali...
  • 1 0
Ya I looked into it too. Identical to the kali and 661. Weird.
  • 2 0
Now all I want to see is the heatsink graphs and that clear shock been cycled through.
  • 4 0

You've clearly never used a 35mm bar and stem combo. It's pure sex.
  • 1 0
I rode a Bronson and it was absolutely spectacular.
  • 1 2
It's not Magenta, it's Pink ! That Bronson looks like a nice bike, that colour is just wrong.
  • 1 3
Only me think that the so called Nomad is in fact a Bronson?
