I feel like #1 was picked solely because he was on a 4 wheeler. It was unique, but anybody who owns one of those bikes could have won according to the judging.

Number one was sick, but i seriously need some trails like those in 2 and 3 near me! Crazy

This is turning out to be a very enjoyable contest. Loving the trails and that dude was ripping on the 4 wheeler.

#3 was balckrock Oregon!! Still my favorite home trail system.
  • 2 0
If I had a 4 wheeler, fire roads would start to be freaking rad to descend.
  • 2 0
There's some pretty rad fire roads out there, no joke. There's some steep, winding ones if you look around!
  • 24 10
#1....really? Cool that the guy is out there on a 4x, but that isn't telonics, it's a fire road. Weak.
  • 3 2
Yup, it's the Canyon Acres fireroad that's NEXT to Telonics. Very misleading.

I was going to say... Laguna, really? But then I saw he was on four wheels. But then I watched it and reverted to my original reaction.

At least i have a better idea of what gopro and the judges want. Not just a sick line. Some personality.

Thats me in #3! Congrats to the winner! I really want to ride that trail in #2.
  • 3 0
 awesome riding man! Congrats
  • 7 0
The trail in the Oliver Cuvet video is frickin sick! So smooth and dialed...
  • 9 0
I think this video should have won - easily the best
  • 3 0
 yeah bro! YEAH BRO!
  • 9 2
Is it only me or is the #4 video speed up to look faster?
  • 5 1
That's my clip. Definitely not sped up. It has to be raw footage to enter the contest. I just don't like to wear my brakes out. Brake pads are expensive these days.
  • 1 0
You've got a properly sick trail there...very jealous
  • 6 0
The trails in 2-4 are friggin crazy, definitely not your average joe trails.
  • 3 0
I'm a bit disappointed that all the videos are smooth bike park style (perhaps with the exception of No4). Where's the REAL downhill?
  • 3 0
Fest series is smooth ;-) I think gopro was lookin for the "wow factor" and some of these videos had some big drops. Stuff like rampage and joyride with jumps is just more mainstream than full on DH. Personally tho I think some gp footy of someone like ratboy literally flying through rock gardens should have won.

Nice clips. Am I the only one holding his head up while watching? I don't use a camera on the trail but if I could see just a little more of the trail ahead. I guess it is a matter of opinion.
  • 1 0
I thought the idea was to see people riding self built lines filmed in an interesting way these kind of looked like people just hitting nearby spots with a go pro on. Maybe I've miss understood the point
  • 4 1
4 and 5 seemed more worthy imo

I'm glad I wasn't asked to 'judge' these vids, as I not only DON'T know why the #1 is better than the rest, I don't think it's even as good as some of the others.
He's simply riding down a flat fire-road, albeit on some kinda 'vehicle' I've never seen before. Is that the reason?
I personally felt his camera should've been tilted up more to show more of the trail ahead, and with some of the other vids showing the riders clearing obstacles of all shapes and sizes, and the terrain definitely having a LOT more features, I would've picked different vids for BOTH the first and second place.
The second-place vid has his camera pointed down way too far, so you only saw the front of his bike, and just a smidge of the terrain out in front.
As far as the quality of the footage, again, others seemed to me to have more clarity.
I didn't read the rules, so I have no idea what they were looking for. As I said earlier, the only 'advantage' (for lack of a better word) I can think of was the type of vehicle he was on. It was definitely different than all the rest, so I'm guessing it came down to that.

That moment when you realize... 360s are AWESOME!
  • 2 0
#3 was the sketchiest line of all time
  • 2 0
that is canyon acres, not telonics.
  • 1 0
Number 5 was filmed with my go pro and I uploaded it to my account. Ryan is such a rad rider!
  • 1 0
I like Brook's, because he's paralized from the waste down and it doesn't stop him!
  • 1 0
I could have sworn this m.pinkbike.com/video/376962
Was going to win
  • 1 0
Yeah ! Don't understand the global ranking regarding to the judges scorecards, but stocked whatever !
  • 2 1
How can you judge these on cinematography and composition? It's a fricken helmet cam, yo!
  • 3 2
I agree with Kelly's scoresheet the most
  • 2 1
 Paul Rak read my mind.
  • 1 0
 Insane run by Brook Duquesnel.
  • 1 1
How is cinematography a category when we're looking at helmet cam footage that can't be edited ?
  • 1 0
 sooooo dope
