Grand Opening - The Hub and Pisgah Tavern

The time has finally come! Our grand opening is quickly approaching. Next Saturday, March 26th, we are throwing a fiesta to celebrate. We want to thank everyone - the community, our customers, and friends who have made this possible. We are excited to finally be settling into our new space and hope that everyone is able to stop by, hang out, enjoy good food, beverages, and time with friends.

We will be serving our new collaboration beer - the "Sierra Nevada/Hub Pinch Flat IPA" in souvenir cups, there will be multiple food trucks, door prizes and giveaways, Live & Direct screen printing of our classic "Hub Tee's" with Green Light Ink, the Santa Cruz Bicycles demo tour will be here, along with multiple other outdoor and bike companies.

We are also collaborating with our new neighbors, Carmichael Training Systems to have a road ride to the parkway from 10am-12pm and mountain ride from 2pm-4pm. Local superstars Matthew Busche, Luca Shaw, Neko Mulally, and John Murphy to name a few will be leading and joining in on the rides as well ensuring a fun time for everyone of all skill levels!

So come to Pisgah to ride your bike with friends, then stop by and hang out for a minute... it's sure to be a good time!

Anyone who has to ask "why bother with an LBS" has never been to the Hub. Can't say enough good things about this shop and the folks that make it go.

i'm commenting 1st even though i don't really have anything to say. except that the hub is the coolest bike shop in the area

The place reminds me of surf shops where the staff is too cool to talk to the customer unless they are either part of their inner circle, or of a certain local or regional fame. I have been in that shop a few times only to be given a quick nod by too cool for school wannabe pros who feel like if they say hello in a warm positive way they may lose their "shredder" status. I ran a specialty retail shop back in the 90's and can tell u that the customer who pays the bills is often not the cool young ripper but the 30/40 something with a real job and more money then time. Unfortunately this a fact many "core" shops fail to acknowledge. Like RAMFB said earlier, there is way friendlier service in that area.

I heard it's a mixture of Samsquantch and a Unicorn. Mythical, but something we've all actually seen. But the Horn is actually a wizard staff made from PBR and Narragansett cans.

Expensive beer. Huge egos. Mediocre service. Less hype and better service in the area.

No doubt they have a huge inventory but pricing sucks and service is poor. Location is what makes them big

Love the Hub! They have always been helpful and kind. Congrats and I can't wait to see the new digs.

Epic Cycles is my shop in the area. Good deals and Chill vibes. The Hub seems like someone had too much money for their own good.
