Here is Gringo, the new official movie from Da"u Corporate!

We filmed this during the summer of 2015 in British Columbia. It was the second time that we as a group moved to BC, Canada in order to re-discover the trails and bike-parks in and around Whistler, the Sunshine Coast, and North Vancouver.

@dau-corporate: LOL. I was going to say, it's better if you turn off the sound. Yeah, I'm old.

Outstanding footage of the Farwell Canyon slopes!

@dau-corporate: Definitely a fan of the soundtrack and the filming, it's a mtb movie and the tracks suit the riding for sure. Reminds me of the Kranked movies... just you know. Better.

Thanks for the advice and personal bit about your age, great comment. LOL

WRT the soundtrack, you can't please everybody. If the music that's on there enhances the film for someone, cool. Me? I just prefer Heavy/Thrash/Metal type music. I'm sure if the filmmaker had put that style of tunes, there would have been a whole other set of complaints.
It's a great film nonetheless. \m/

This is awesome!!!, Best MTB movie I've seen in a long time, I like the GTA style twist on it. Helps seperate it from the usual Generic DH movies! Hats off!! well worth the watch!
  • 13 1
Well done guys! Huge improvements in both the filming and the riding! Not a big fan of the soundtrack though, but I guess some will like it more than I do! Hope to catch up with you all in Gre very soon! La bise de Pau! Matt

Amazing footage with cool dudes and a nice sound track selection. Impatiently looking at the clock to go shred again. Exactly what a video needs to provoke!!!
  • 6 0
Thanks man, this is exactly the kind of word we like to read, and this is probably because of them we can't wait to go back to shred with cameras, as soon as possible !
  • 11 1
Top video, soundtrack was great too. You're not going to please everyone.
  • 13 5
Great vid, really dig the style and the riding, but had to mute large parts of it; the soundtrack makes me want to Dremel my own ears...
  • 2 1
Like you like at least the riding, and as we said upper, we are all looking for the music which will be loved by everyone… maybe in our next edit haha
  • 12 0
@dau-corporate: Make them however you like! Don't spend your time trying to please people like me, the majority of people on here seem to agree with your choice. Awesome edit on the whole, looking forward to the next

you can shove your music opinion up your ass
  • 4 0
@MaxDeutsch: Wow, so much angst. Mellow out dude.
  • 7 1
Wow showing my age here, but dont get why the unnecessary violence and unfortunately as you know its hard to please everybody but the music was muted, but other than that great assortment of trails and appreciate the amount of effort gone into the editing
  • 12 3
Sick edit and riding! Killer soundtrack too!
  • 6 0
I really enjoyed how the music was mixed together and flowed pretty seamlessly from one section to the next. Really keeps the vibe going. +1 for kendrick ....cant please everyone. Great work!
  • 17 11
Even after turning the volume off, all I could hear is that nonsense. Lets do a RAW version and ill be back
  • 9 4
Really, you don't like the soundtrack ?!
  • 9 6
@dau-corporate: I hated the soundtrack ... cinema was dope though.
  • 8 5
yea I had to stop watching
  • 9 6
Agreed, I couldn't get through it with the "music." Total rubbish that ruined an otherwise nice short.
  • 6 5
+1 on the horrid soundtrack. I almost didn't make it past the first minute or so because that electronic stuff about watching cartoons or whatever was so flippin' awful. Then the music dropped, and it didn't get much better. Let me tell you something: nothing is more inauthentic to that particular music than two white guys riding mountain bikes in Whistler, Canada. It just doesn't fit. At all. Got to 1:52 and had to go. Couldn't take it.
  • 11 3
Sorry to ear that you totally waste your time first watching the 2 first minutes and then during the time you wrote these words. As we said, we are still looking for THE music which will be loved by everyone ! Maybe in our next edit Wink
  • 6 2
@dau-corporate: I don't think it was a waste of time. I really wanted to love it, and I'm sorry I didn't.
  • 2 1
@dau-corporate: Video from the heart, keep sharing.
  • 5 1
Music is spot on it flows well with the on screen action, wouldn't change any of it! Good work!
  • 4 1
The music is not my style but if you're not making some people upset with the music, you're not pleasing others! If you try and please everyone you end up with beige. My favorite part was when they moved on to Lillooet - obligated to throw on the tank top in homage to Doerfling and his dominance of the big mountain chute!
  • 2 0
The Doerfling tribute is subtle and at the same time amazing. Loved it!
  • 3 0
Dam, from the comments here, I think I'm getting old! Different strokes I guess. Its a sick edit, but IMHO i'm not sure what the hell the violence has go to do with riding skills and sick lines. Seems like it's trying to attach a narrative to hold the edits together, which is doesn't need and, to me, comes across juvenile at best. 'Race Face Chester anyone?' Take a cue from Remy Metailler, keep it about the riding guys, sounds of the trail, the hits and the buzz we all call home, keep it classy and just let awesome skills and locations do the work. I guess part of me wishes we could represent our sport in a way that it gets respect from those that govern our trail access, not just our own community. Oh feck, I'm going back to bed, with my wooly hat and socks.

I just don't understand the music princesses on Pinkbike. If you want control over the soundtrack make your own damn videos and then suck it up when a shitload of people think you're the one with bad taste.
  • 2 1
 props ^

I personally really liked the music as a fan and producer of techno based music. I thought it was great. I'm also a fan of hiphop so again, I really enjoyed the music as well as the progress of the video in general. I also am a UAV operator, so the aerial shots and whatnot were very well done and timed out.

People can bitch about music all they want but in the end this is a biking site, with or without music the riding and cinematography was great!
  • 4 0
Shows you don't need world class riders to put together a sick film. The shots and editing are bang on.
  • 2 0
Excellent videography and track choice. The soundtrack, although not my everyday cup of tea, worked well with the editing. I enjoyed the entire production. Bravo, D'au Crew! Bon travail!
  • 1 0
dope vid @dau-corporate! I especially like the builder Cameo at the end. I bet he's a super cool nice guy! ???? If you come back to the Sunshine Coast There's a new line above the jump line you filmed. Check it out! Btw the soundtrack was legit.

Soundtrack was dope. If you say otherwise I think you're getting on a bit much in life. Whole thing got me stoked to ride

PWA! That's sick, thank to push the french mtb community guys! Metal lover but Kendrik, SBTRKT (feat Raury) and the last one Iamanthem (grosse claque pour moi) are good too!
See you in l'Arzelier
  • 3 2
Awesome filming but level of riding is very average, especially for this part of the world. Something to be said for getting out in the woods with your homies, just not sure its worth 16:00.
  • 1 1
I don't think the music itself was bad, I'd say it was poorly matched to the edit. It seamed like the video was all put together, and the most played songs on their spotify playlist were then just thrown overtop. I'd say any song can be used well in a video, but it all comes down to proper beat matching and matching a songs flow to the riding.
  • 3 0
Really enjoyed this - well done guys!

Sweet, smooth and supa-cool! Music 's pumping and keeps footage flawless %)

  • 2 0
Now that is a proper MTB edit. Thoroughly enjoyed it, Thanks, really excited to get back on the bike again
  • 1 1
That was awesome, I'm tired of videos where the riding looks like it filmed 100 times over until perfect. This all looks natural, still high level but not polished. I don't understand all the guns though?
