Training is just done here in Aspen for the fifth round of the Enduro World Series and it's time for a preview of all the stages. Check out on what kind of terrain the best Enduro riders are going to battle, this one is looking like one of the most physical round of the year.
The comment 'physical' maybe applicable, but technical it ain't ? Is it me, or am i missing something ? Where are the rock drops, chutes, near vertical switchbacks etc ? this just seems to be flat out...
@m0dest: nah, he's right, aspen is just flat out sections mixed with tight single track. And that little drop was really one of the only features...some of the other EWS venues are far more technical.
Either way, certainly doesn't take away from the fact that Fabien is absolutely flying ...and casually throwing in legit manuals at speed
Stage 2 looked the most fun for me; fast narrow single track with plants hitting your legs...yummy!
And I have to say that I'm envious of Fabien's wheelie skills. The best I can do is a few seconds and I am always at the limit of control at that! Been a mountain biker for more than 20 years and wheelies like his still elude me.
I ride a pretty steep gnarly trail regularly and have seen gopro footage that make it seem like nothing. Looks can be deceiving.
