For the second year in a row I've hosted the sender session during the Hillbilly HuckFEST Festival. We have spent a month fixing the course from the winter and the flow is back to high speed. The feedback from the riders has been all positive and that makes me real proud. I think we are in for a treat this year and I am looking forward to seeing all the boys shred on and off their bikes in the Norwegian mountains. |

As for Ft. William...well...they gotta fill in the holes sometime and by the time the top 20men in the finals came around there were holes all over the place.
Then there's the new Vallnord--pretty damn wicked and steep with big ass rocks and holes and dust everywhere.
So...dunno...everybody has their taste--for me personally, which nobody gives a crap about (hah!), I would rather see the riders make it down in one piece. Doesn't mean everything has to be a bike park (and they aren't) but it also doesn't mean they have to be in Virgin, Utah either. FMB gots to have something, right? These men and women launch themselves down the mountain waaaaay faster than mere mortals can dream...and while Champery is awesome and insanely steep and technical...I'd rather see smiling faces at the bottom of Pietermaritzburg and Leogang...than another Cam Cole being helicoptered out of Andorra or Taylor Vernon out of Val di Sole.
These folk gonna go fast. And if the track is easier...they just gonna go faster...
