In this video we follow the iXS race circus to the fifth round of the European series in Pila, Italy. iXS European Downhill Cup Video #6 – Châtel (FRA) & Review 2011
Beautiful sunshine all day long assured a good atmosphere at Friday´s first training in Châtel (FRA). But the conditions changed, so on Sunday it was possible to use skis on the top. The weather was horrible, but even better is the video with race action, interviews and the review 2011.

 What's wrong with the voice-over? I like it. The couple of commentators add additional information in an informal way, not being too serious but also not being too loud and dodgy as lets say rob warner.

 these race vid's are good 4 are sport,almost all race vid's are scripted,the part that is good is human's can see that are sport is real,and that can make are sport big,so just watch the rider's not comments,the rider's make the sport.

 Actually: I really do belive that this sort of thing is the best bet for the sport. We need mainstream coverage. I just wish that the people announcing could at least "act" like they gave a sh%t. Just because you sound like an engine trying to start on a cold morning doesnt mean you are announcing...

 I think that the commentary is very important! Who's gonna watch anything with commentary like this? Even WE are annoyed by it, let alone people that are not into the sport, they have less motivation to watch to begin with. On the other hand, sports with good, exciting commentary are a pleasure to watch. Warner could make even curling look cool!

Someone please just pick up the mic yourself!

 no ones telling Red Bull not to bother, we are just giving them feedback so they know what will put people off and draw people in in future. like saving money by having a text reading program in charge of half the commentating

 Wow, finally a completely professional TV covering of a downhill event. I really loved the rhythm of the programme and the camera work, editing and the locution was very well done in my opinion.

 So this is the type of coverage we can expect for the UCI Redbull partnership? Im excited. And again, the commentary doesn't bother me. Id prefer Rob Warner, but I'll take whats handed to me.

 The commentary is CRINGE WORTHY. I'd kind of expect it over like a lego animated downhill race with the camera going to the commentator booth. Think about it. ;-P
