Intense Cycles Launches new Trailbike at Sea Otter-Looking for Name Suggestions!

Intense Bikes has created a new trailbike, and are looking for your input on a name for it. Read on for more details.

Intense Cycles will unveil a brand new frame model at the 2008 Sea Otter festival. The new design is aimed at the popular trailbike market and will feature the next generation of the VPP suspension design. It will also incorporate a new lower bearing system with grease fittings to ease maintenance and prolong bearing life. The only thing missing right now is a name. Intense is asking for everyone’s input in naming the new ride. There will be a suggestion box and entry forms available at the Intense booth. The contest will continue online via the Intense website after the event. The winning submission will earn its owner, the first production version of the new frame, autographed by Jeff Steber.

well they already have the 5.5 and 6.6, how about the 7.7, or whatever it will be. the other bikes are animal named, like a pheonix (fenix) or spider, so otherwise I'd think of an animal name. The cougar anyone?

HAHA, look at them again. The V-10 has a much higher shock ratio, different geometry, more travel, and built by some 3rd graders over in Taiwan. The Intense has people with a passion for bikes welding each and everyone of them, with a thorough multi-point inspection. One of the highest quality manufacturers. The only similarities between the SC bikes and Intense, is the fact that they both use VPP, and they're located in California.

Wrong. It is Horst Leitner's design that Specialized bought the patent rights for, which consequently, expires shortly. Norco, as well as many other use it, and Outland was using it on DH bikes before Specialized got on-board. Do your homework.
