Within the last few years we have seen a large influx of incredible talent from the East Coast. Small riding communities are developing world class athletes that tend to be a speck in the national media spotlight. Isaac Allaire is one of those talents, a young rider with one of the most natural and flawless abilities on two wheels. Growing up in the small town of Morrisville, Vermont, Isaac has been surrounded by incredible trails, athletes, and people. His ability to read terrain, attack it while making it look easy is amazing to watch. Throwing a camera on him only enhances his true ability. We chose to film at Highland Bike Park, a common riding location for us East Coasters. It has everything we wanted from flow trails to gnarly rocky sections. A recipe for good times and epic footage.

After driving about six hours from New York city, I find myself in a true place of beauty. Right outside in Isaac's front yard, is a view so serene. A dirt road lined by trees and grass leads into a winterized farm field with a snowcapped mountain backdrop. Definitely something I don't get to see looking out the window on 21st and Broadway (at my office building)...

When we arrived at our first location to shoot, mother nature left behind a few skid marks. The weather was cold, damp and overcast. It's what builds the East Coast athlete's character

Those skid marks didn't put any kind of damper on our day. Isaac saddled up and sent it.

Issac's been riding at Highland for years now.. to know your terrain only enhances your ability to ride it and sometimes you have to pull out the camera to remind yourself of your ability.

This year Isaac has taken things into his own hands. He aims to keep his mind focused on what he wants to do and race how he feels comfortable. I believe this is his year. It's just a matter of time before we see it.

When you see in person how far back and small it actually is, makes jumping it that much more impressive.
