It Didn't Work - The Teaser.
Jan 13, 2009
It Didn't Work features some talented riders from Norway during the 2008 season. You might think "what the hell, aren't they way too busy burning down churches and chasing polar bears away from their death-metal rockin' kids", but you would be wrong.
For the last couple of years the riding level in Norway has just exploded. I can still remember a few years back when it was an absolute blast if you got your bike between your legs in a sketchy tailwhip attempt. Nowadays I feel that everybody tailwhips. Everywhere!

The whole 2008 season has just been riding, filming, digging, riding and then some filming again. It basically started out with a roadtrip to Sweden as featured later in the movie. That was great, we did a lot of riding and a lot of chilling.
I guess you can call this movie a zero-bugdet/profit project. I have used a minimal amount of money to create this movie, basically just the regular cost of transport to riding spots which would have been spent anyways if I would have brought my camera or not. The tripod I use is actually something that was found on a rocky beach 10 years ago or so. Wild stuff. The cable cam footage in Didrik's part is shot with a device I made out of some crap I found in my rather messy garage. It worked, but it sure wasn't optimal.

Not too many movies feature both BMX and MTB riding. I think that is a shame, because the size of your wheels should not determine who you are riding with or not. We are all on a bike and are doing basically the same thing, especially if you ride dirt, street or park. Actually, a lot of the people I ride with including me rides both BMX and MTB. It is all about personal preference.

Well, let me introduce you to some of the riders:
Didrik Dege Dimmen aka triple D is a total shredder, I mean, landing a double tailwhip on Norway's biggest trails is not too bad when you are 16 years old. 15 year old Ola Selsjord is also someone to look out for in the future. Be sure to catch all the truckdrivers he is doing during his part, they're everywhere. Adrian Tell took everyone by surprise when he came out from nowhere last season, ripping that old Haro bmx apart. Nils is all about flow. However, you can't find any dirtier person than Olav Fjære aka "Torsk". He is always covered in mud at the end of a session. It's like a rule of nature.

Enough talk, here are the footage. Enjoy!

I loved the soundtrack, I'd never heard "Digitalism" or "Zoot Woman" until now. Nice work!
