Jerome will be working closely with Alpinestars as he aims to recapture the EWS, which this year takes place as eight venues across the globe, including Crankworx in New Zealand and Canada, as well as the USA, France and Italy.

The Alpinestars Development Team will provide performance riding products, from class-leading apparel to innovative protection to the Frenchman, while working closely together as part of Alpinestars' continuous performance development program.

bigquotesI've always loved the Alpinestars brand, they make great products and always want to get more involved with their athletes and cycling. When I visited the HQ in Italy I was impressed by their resources and the motivation of all their staff there.

I'm really excited for the new season; I'll be wearing the best products and custom gear for competing, as well as helping test new products. On top of that I'm really proud to be part of the Alpinestars family with riders such as Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo and Eli Tomac.

They should start making shoes again, I had a pair of their xc shoes back in the '90s. Great shoes if a bit colourful! White with flouro pink and yellow paint splatter effect lol www.pinkbike.com/photo/10239308

Yes, as Noah posted. TLD helmet, sram wheels. He posted a photo yesterday with what looks like WTB tires, (he rode them before the mavics, the rest of cdale rides them). I, for one, was quite shocked to see Mavic let him go.

Will be nice to see something other than that same Mavic jersey over and over and over and over and over again.
  • 1 0
i agree but it was always easy to pick him out. now wether that was due to the jersey or his elbows out/ all out attack riding style, will remain to be seen

Easy to pick him out? He wore the same jersey as the other 10 Mavic riders. Thats one better thing about XC, the clothing sponsor doesnt put all the same guys in the same exact kit. Each should be custom to the rider.

worst kneepads I seen. the slide out at the smallest crash. and expensive
  • 1 0
not sure what you are talking about? Every set of Alpinestars knee pads I have had have been great! stay in place and super durable. Not the cheapest but have out lasted any other from other brands. Share an example of what happened to you...

moab model. 1 or 2 dont remember. they slide down on crashes. their shape I think. im no alien haha. prefer oneal pumpguns

So the knee/shin for DH? That is weird as I find them great. My girlfriend loves them too and she crashed a ton when learning to DH and they never moved on her. Protection is such a personal preference I guess.
