The deal on that spider frame is crazy. Even though its 2012 and is a 26er $700 for a new intense is insane

Was looking on the buy and sell for a new 26" trail bike frame......then this showed up
Smoking deal.
  • 1 0
I'm interested, but I can't find any info on that frame online.
  • 16 0
Yeah, it's an intense deal, that's for sure.
  • 1 3
Not seeing that deal... click on link and frame shows $2,449.95 even though it says the following:

Savings: $1760 OFF MSRP!

Pricing seems to be screwed.

Select the size and color on the drop down options bars, then price appears.

Yeah that deal is like camping. Its In tents!
  • 2 1
@six66 , small frame shows $2449.95 still. Only the med/large shows that price... so, that makes no sense still... I would imagine prices would be the same for all but oh well...

I think your internet might be broken..
  • 1 0
i was gonna order one in small the moment i saw it here in pinkbike. too bad the small size is not on sale. not unless there's something wrong on their end?
  • 2 1
I'll never own another Intense just for those reasons... They are always blowing them out online. Good luck with any resale value when you buy a somewhat newly released frame cuz a year later they'll be blowing them out online for 40% off
  • 1 0
Depends on the frame. The only ones I see on blowout are always the smalls. Or in this case a 4 year old frame with outdated standards. Good luck finding a 951 or Tracer 275C on blowout.

How is Dunbar able to advertise Specialized at a discount online? And how are they allowed to ship? They're kind of crazy about those things.

 Right? Also... Support your lbs!
  • 4 0
Its because the new 2016 stumpy with revised geo and what not is in stock. We technically can only ship them under certain restrictions. You can call or email for details.
  • 1 3
Voted down on the lbs comment... I don't want to be a part of this world anymore.
  • 10 4
My LBS charges full MSRP, even on gear that's a few years old. sometimes they even charge for stuff that manufactures offer for free. Shop on line!
  • 7 0
Sad but true in most cases.... Agreed.
  • 2 1
Have you ever asked them if they match or negotiate? I know it is awkward but most I've worked with will lop off 20% without batting an eye.
  • 1 0
Ummmm, ya. That is the first thing I do (much less as I would suspect anybody trying to save a few bucks would do) if I ever have a reason to stop in a lbs for something that I know I can get for much cheaper online. That's already been tried and time been wasted. Trust me, I get it.... But I gotta eat too.

As a LBS owner i feel you need to know a few things. As a small local bike shop in many cases you are not allowed to advertise or price things for a discount. For example one of my friends that also owns a shop, advertised a particular bike for less than MSRP and lost his dealership privileges. However as a shop owner you can match prices when asked, but most people don't ask. So in short if you don't ask "do you match prices" to your local bike shop they many times can't do anything. And the big online dealers don't get into trouble for advertising low prices because they order in such bulk the manufacturers don't want to loose them as a dealer. I'm not saying all shops will try to help you out but the good ones will at least try.

-Happy trails

 Ummmm..... ok.

 Thinking I don't have a good one.
  • 2 0
that's to bad if that is the case. If you ever make it down to southern California i own a shop called Ridgeline service stop by i will work with ya and show you some cool local single track.

I can drive north for 45 mins for a good one, and I have, for a recent wheel rebuild.

The Dunbar cycles deal about the 10% of bike purchase price back towards gear purchases is a pretty cool idea! Props to them
  • 5 0
Haha "Five finger discount", clevar add.
Too bad it's not FREE.99
  • 2 0
so can i use that Shimano Ultegra 6701 10 Speed Chain be used with my MTB cassette (slx) and deraileur (zee).? i always thought the road and mtb chains were different.
  • 2 0
I'm running that chain w/xt case and zee derailur, about 5 rides a and no prob. The chain is directional, the chain I got from crc came in a plastic bag w/o instructions.
  • 1 0
I don't get the XT cassette price. You are listing it at 44.99 USD and when I follow the link the price on CRC is 46.99 in euro. That is a big difference.
  • 2 0
Enve bar -20% ???? Cool now we can have it for 240€ instead of 300 !
  • 2 1
My shop does 10 percent off gear and accessories with every bike purchase
  • 5 1
 Ummm...cool?
  • 2 1
Mine too. Plus when you buy from them you help them stay in business. Which is nice... Right?... Shop small!... Okay that's my rant...
  • 5 1
Dunbar offers 15% off gears and accessories with every bike purchase.
That promo will give you in store credit valued at 10% of the price of a bike

So if you buy a bike at $5000, you'll get $500 to spend on towards any gear in the shop
Buy a $3000 bike, you get $300 to spend in the shop.
  • 4 1
My shop does a Buy 2, Pay for 2 deal on everything in stock.
  • 2 1
 I wants a pike!
  • 6 1
 So buy one!
