There is an awesome new DH course built for this event which is a blast to ride. If you haven't ridden it yet - get up there and try it out.
The organizers are looking for Course Marshalls, timekeepers, and other smaller jobs. All the training you need will be provided! (and maybe a snazzy t-shirt)

Last year this event saw hundreds of riders show up with families and spectators on the sidelines. Let's put on another great show for the Kamloops and area mountain biking scene.
Cheers!
That's not all! The Cafe is also bringing Seasons to town!
The gang at Cafe are hosting a movie night at TRU on the upcoming Race the Ranch weekend.
Saturday, May 17th
7:30PM
Tickets are on sale - $10 at Cafe
Members of The Collective will be there (with prizes)
Partial proceeds will go to our club (and we'll be there selling memberships)

I am soooo glad to hear that the race isn't on Fist Full 'O Dollars. Don't get me wrong, FFOD is an okay trail, I was just wasn't looking forward to racing on it.
is it that the same trail they had last year? because that trail had way to much uphill and flat parts.
Well, the article does say "new dh course"......
how much mony is it to enter?
It is a new coarse, lots of off camber corners, lots of small rock gardens, requires lots of tech skill
where is the new trailll?????/??
Course Description:
The DH course is 1.6 km long, dropping 130 meters, using
established DH trails in the Kamloops Bike Ranch. A short
paved shuttle will move the racers to the top of the course.
This is a fun DH course that is extremely popular with local
riders. Electronic timing to 1/100 second. Some of last year’s
flat sections at the top have been eliminated and newer and
steeper lines have been introduced to make the course a bit
more challenging and technical. Ride-arounds are installed at
most of the technical sections to accommodate U15 and
citizen and novice racers. This downhill is being run under the
single-run BC Cup format.
