The World’s Gone Crazy – Get Kranked World Tour

Jan 25, 2008
by Tyler Maine
Radical Films detonates into mountain bike mayhem with, “The Cackle Factor - Kranked 7” on April 19th, 2008 with the world premiere at the Sea Otter bike festival in Santa Cruz, California. The Get Kranked World Tour begins the very next day.

With over 100 showings in North America's most influential mountain bike communities, the tour is a community event designed to bring mountain bikers together for an evening of cutting edge entertainment, fun and stoke. We are currently looking for promoters to be part of the tour by hosting a premiere show on a date between April 20th and July 20th, 2008.

As a promoter of the Tour, bike shops and bike clubs have the opportunity to host the evening, taking advantage of a great promotional event designed to stimulate quality relationships with their clientelle and the local biking community.

The Movie-

Inspired by old hipster slang for the insane asylum (the cackle factory), the film trips with stunning footage cut to a post-industrial explosion of funk, rock, reggae, hip-hop and punk.

As the world spirals into madness seemingly at war with itself, the best mountain bikers are judged against it. Join us as we freak out and explore:

WHO IS INSANE? US OR THEM?

Featuring epic riding sets from: Jamie Goldman, Nathan Rennie, Steve Romaniuk, Mike Kinrade, Eric Porter, Kyle Ebbett, Timo Pritzel, James Doerfling, René Wildhaber, Matt Hunter, Mike Hopkins, Ben Boyko, Kirt Voreis, Garett Buehler, Bobby McMullen, Ryan Berrecloth, Josh Bryceland, Dylan Dunkerton and Curtis Robinson.

Filmed in HD in Alaska, British Columbia, California, Vermont, Switzerland and France.

Soundtrack features: The Hilltop Hoods, the Kinks, Zebrahead, Tsunami Bomb, Ziggy Marley, the Guess Who, Anti-Flag, Five Alarm Funk, Placebo, Lagwagon, the Misfits, Super Cabin, Pennywise.

Great to see Kinrade back in a feature film. His original Second Coming vid inspired me to get into this crazy sport. Hope Cackle makes it to Calgary.

When's it hitting the UK? Taunton premiered the Collective movies and Kranked 6... can't wait for 7. I've got access to projectors, sound-system and a licensed mobile bar, thinking a showing in the woods could be rather nice...Big Grin
