Talking about the van or about the girl ?
(...ok sexist joke, I go out...)
This young lady is where its at with her great outlook and passion for the sport and fellow riders. Good luck lady friend!

I would, no lie, paint a van hot pink though. I crave attention
and now all of PB know what you're living in, you should have shown your gun case
Cheers,
Mx
I wouldn't mind being that man who " Lives in a van, Down by the River"!!!
That's nearly motorhome territory (RV). I'm pretty sure you can you can a well equipped caravan for that money (if you own something that will tow it)
Sure you don't get the garage element, but you get a toilet and a shower!
I'd love to do something like that for a month, not race, but drive an RV to all the trails that I normally miss.
Heck, I'm looking to go even smaller if possible, convert a transit connect, again, purely for gas mileage reasons. tiny little thing, big enough for me.
Yeah that's a good point. I don't ride anywhere that isn't accessible with a 2WD sedan. I was thinking more along the lines of by the time you've spent the money on a van and kitted it out like that it wouldn't be far off RV money. Especially for someone like me who has no talent whatsoever for that kind of thing.
Maybe fine in a parking lot at the trailhead, when there is some infrastructure - but I would miss a shower and toilet and a way to spend a rainy afternoon. No books, no Playstation, no windows, no heating (...?).
Besides, rocking a Van this cool wins you many buddies who want you to hang out at their house anyway!
Oh, and I almost forgot, apologies in advance for this.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=89hkmQKx9p4

On topic: Rad van lady... I did a summer in a less hospitable Honda Odyssey. It was trying but satisfying.

Don't read so deep into stuff, man. I meant that it didn't need to be so edited. I called her beautiful and I'm a douche?
I'm sorry if I came off that way but what does your comment say about you?
Imagine this: woman rocks up to the trail, or posts some photos/a blog on PB - a rarer occurrence than we would all like I'm sure - and the first thing that happens is she gets a ton of guys hitting on her. Regardless of whether the guys are genuinely interested or not, do you think this interaction positively influences the woman toward the sport? Probably not...
Just because you CAN say something, and I'm in no way taking that away from you, doesn't always mean that you should.
I'm sure you're right, but maybe a little more sensitivity would invite more ladies in?
It's hard to interpret tone on the internet, and there are a lot of guys on here that come off more than a little creepy! (check out the "girls in action" photo section, it can get weird in there...)
People critique photos on here all the time. Some POD's get over contrasted. Some are heavily shadowed. People call it out occasionally. I'm just saying she doesn't need it.
Again, I literally called this girl beautiful and now I'm a douche adding to the sausage fest. Just because she rides bikes doesn't mean compliments are banned. Women loved to be complimented and I like to compliment.
I hate triple posting but to reply to you saying "you don't see these comments on dudes post".
I don't call men beautiful lol
