Video: LeafCycles - Build to Ride Camp

When Frank Henrich the owner of Leafcycles came with the idea of a bike building camp i knew that it's going to be something unique and very interesting, especially that no other bicycle brand has done something like this before, we really didn't knew what to expect for. Frank wanted to do this camp for one reason, to help the community to get into mountain-biking and to help them develop skills for building a bike and maintaining it.

Build to Ride camp

With tickets for the camp just under 400 euro he sold all the 25 places in no time, especially when a ticket gave the holder a bike that is 60% cheaper than the normal market price, there was absolutely no profit on that price, just enough to cover the expenses for producing the parts.

Every ticket included parts for a full bike, accommodation for the camp period (three days), three meals a day, pump track access, billiard, table football and many other things to make the camp period as fun as possible.

LeafCycles hopes that this camp is going to be an example for other bike companies, give something back to the community, help the community grow, it's not all about profit.

Good idea to do some camps like this also in the future, but the companies have to start the projects and that's the problem, I think! Most companies are only focused on the provit of their products...

 Thanks for the bike Frank!
Still having lots of fun with it and learning lots of tricks. Wink
I changed a few components to make it lighter and more solid.
And now I've got an awesome dirt bike for about 500-600 euro.
