Leatt proudly announces the release of the new DBX 6.0 Carbon, and 5.0 Composite Bicycle Helmets being worn by #LeattFamily riders Filip Polc, Sam Hill, Mike Jones, Joe Smith, and Elliot Heap.

Filip Polc is a long time Leatt DBX 6.5 Neck Brace wearer and has chosen to wear the Leatt DBX 6.0 Carbon Helmet as well as Leatt Gloves, Leatt Knee, Leatt Elbow, and Leatt Body Protection as he competes in the Leatt sponsored 2016 City Downhill World Tour. “I’m excited that Leatt is expanding its bike protection line into helmets, I am a believer in Leatt’s technology and testing and like to know I am wearing the best protection available.” said Polc.

I like the effort Leatt put into the "Sam Hill" title in the picture

At least it wasn't in Comic Sans

I think that cost them at least 30 seconds of their precious time... Wink

They were just playing it safe- did not want anybody to hurt their neck with some head snapping font.

Designer guy, you need to tell us where do you get that weed from, I would say you were totaly high when you designed it... no offense..

About the same amount of effort as the helmet 'graphics'!

I would not be able to design a helmet so foul looking even if i tried...

Maybe it makes you faster because you will be riding ashamed all the time?! "I need to get to the finish line to pull this thing off my head!"

Just about the ugliest helmet ever made...

I know Troy Lee offered to paint Sam's and I know that's kinda like putting lipstick on a pig... But at least then after a few pints someone might wanna take that pig home. #Piggyaintgettinnoloverightnow Frown

Really don't like the lid. If I wasn't a lazy bastard I would totally photoshop a donald duck face instead of the helmet. Big Grin

Probably the worst looking helmet I have ever seen. I appreciate good protection but I couldn't bring myself to wear one

TLD is Sam Hill.... I am sure this helmet offers great protection for the old melon.. But it offers a zero on the "look cool factor"..
  • 1 1
It might be really high on the "not look braindead" factor though.

@VwHarman: You buy it then.. "helmet wizard" as I said it probably offers great protection....

 @Ryezy: LMAO @ helmet wizard!

That peak is just wrong and the helmet has a kind of sci-fi look to it. The protection may be good but it looks bad compared to the tld, 100%, or fox.

I don't know how my comment is going to be understand. I will give it a go. f*ck the look. It is not a beauty contest. Or I am getting something wrong guys???? Noggin safety is paramount for me. It is designed by them to work with my old brace. Sounds promising. I will go with orange version of a cheaper one. Perfect colour coordination with my Kenny titanium race outfit. Smile Smile Smile I am so vain... Wink

 1. Mtbing IS a fashion contest
2. Even if it weren't a fashion contest (but it clearly is), there's no reason to design a helmet that looks like a bucket of smashed crabs.

 You must be a roadie.

People absolutely DETESTED my gold TLD A1 helmet (I actually really liked it) but when I split it in a crash bad enough to break my hand I didn’t feel a thing in my head. I didn’t care a thing about how it looked after that. A lesser helmet would surely have saved my noggin’ but the TLD did so comfortably. I’ll take better tech over looks any day. (No clue if this is indeed better tech but if it is...)

The bill on that helmet maybe questionable, but the technology in this helmet is impressive.
  • 3 1
I don't think it's a bad looking helmet, but there should be other (more traditional) visor options.
  • 1 1
Looks more like a street bike helmet.. I'm not sure how i feel about it.. Could have been colored better. Not feeling the carbon, black, white, and red combo. too many colors yet not enough.

This may be one product even Sam Hill can't help shift...
  • 1 0
anyone know the reason that sam isn't using the original visor other than that it looks butt ugly?
  • 1 0
The product photo above is a super old one from Eurobike 2014.
Leatt designed/built a new visor, meanwhile.
2016 DH helmets come with the new visor that Sam is using right now.
