Linda has put out a whole series of videos of herself riding various parks and trails, but this time, she wanted to reach out and get a gang of ladies together to rip it up at Schladming in Austria.

@nvranka yes it is, and I'm ok with that. I don't know if you've noticed but mountain biking is primarily a sausage fest. Have you ever considered that women get tired of seeing nothing but bros riding bikes? As someone who is married to a novice mountain biker I can assure you that they do.
Is it me or are these slightly misogynistic responses? I see a well put together edit of three friends shredding a really fun looking trail and having a blast together. Call me silly, but I think that is 100% Pinkbike worthy any day.
It's videos like this that get women stoked so settle down Gwin-abe. Pack it up lil boys..one day when your mom isn't your girlfriend you will understand.
Ok, ok, they're not Remy Metailler. Not everyone is Remy Metailler. Not everyone has to be. Whether you have a penis or not. ...That said, the thought "If that's the going speed of female sponsorships, why don't I have one?" did cross my mind, then the gal in the blue jacket made it over that significant double at the end without dying. Then I thought, "Maybe next year."
@ryan83 - I come to the FRONT PAGE to enjoy well produced edits of legitimate riders...if I wanted novice riders (male or female) I'd click into the "videos" section and scroll around, plenty there. There is a reason why edits of me aren't on the front page...I am average. Certainly there are different definitions of average, but in my mind it is fairly black and white that had this video been male riders, it would have NEVER made it to the front page.
@GettinLoose You are going to get a million positive props...not even going to bother disagreeing as it's futile around here.
I have nothing against women riding bikes, my GF is one of them, but I am not interested in watching average/below average riders, ergo the initial question...why is this on the front page? It's a simple question...if the people want women on the front page to encourage their GFs/wives, so be it....this website is for its users and I am only ONE of them.
Some of the female wc riders like Casey Brown, Rachel, Manon and the other ladies should make some more videos, they are really fast and fun to watch. One of my favorites of this year was Casey Brown and the bergamont crew goonin around skiing and riding. There isnt much riding but its damned funny (eddie masters is in it) and Casey rips berms pretty damned hard: m.pinkbike.com/news/skiing-and-riding-with-casey-brown-2015.html
@stacykohut savage... I find it true a lot of the time that girls treat sports differently than guys. My other 'sport' is downhill skateboarding/freeride longboarding whatever and while longboarding has a much more balanced guys to girls ratio than mtb, its still much harder to get sponsored in the longboard scene as a guy than as a girl. Many girls have like 3k+ instagram followers and sponsorships or rider deals. I think part of the reason some women get a hard time for being in a sports like mtb and longboarding/skating is that they try to "livestylize" it and let everybody know they ride. A little while back there was an mtb video where the title was like *girls name* is one of the lads. The girl was a really good rider and got rad with all the dudes. I feel like girls that take that attitude into sports like mtb/skating/surfing/snowboarding whatever probably find they fit in much better. For me I don't need everyone to know I ride, when I post mtb related pics or whatever on instagram, its mostly just riding clips, or trail building pics, or pics of my bike. I like biking for biking and skating for skating, not for any other reason.
I think they seem to to be very slow and women riding bikes in general don´t entertain me but that doesn't mean that I'm super stoked that more and more girls are starting to ride bikes.
Alot of people seem to be missing the point here. I didn't see any timing gates? so why is everyone so obsessed with their speed? looked like a fun ride and that is surely what it is about...
I agree. I don't know why the pinkbike little boys are whining about this one. Looks like the ladies had a fun time and ultimately that's what it's all about.
Nice vid, thanks for posting. Shame about some of the whining little boys on here. I started racing mtb when I was 12 (now 37), but my girlfriend is a newbie to mtb, as such she would be inspired and motivated watching these girls - who are clearly not beginners - shredding some dirt. Keep 'em up PB.
People who are critiquing this based on skill are idiots haha. It's frustrating enough for a girl to get into this sport, when statistically they are most likely to be left with dudes to ride with...
I'm sure there are plenty of girls who see this video of a group of girl riders and are like 'damn they look like they would be fun to ride with!' - and voila, that's what biking and biking videos are all about.
a lot of haters ... this video looks a group of friends went and had fun on their bikes...... maybe get off the computer and text your buddys and go have fun.... looks to be the point of the video....
This is great, all the arm chair athletes obviously can't appreciate a fun ride and lack the common sense to understand that inspiration comes to different people at different levels. I don't see this much negativity about grom vids so is it because your a girl on bike doing rides and filming in cool places, while these negative comments come from want'a be's? Keep it up. As for the rest... go make a vid and see what it take to get on the homepage.
The responses to this are a bit shit huh, it's a total shitter to knock a girls confidence, we're out there having a laugh and doing what we love and sometimes it's tough because we are riding in a male dominated sport... No need to be a dick about it.
I understand the slow mo is cool... but when it's extremely slow. What was the point of setting a lot of the shots at like 80%? (Based on air time in videos, not riding speed I'm not being a sarcastic arse I actually believe they have it at 80%)
Okay, so we all got to see a comparatively boring video of some females out for a leisurely ride, and I don't get it. Every other PB vid (be it male or female) generally has the subject riding at a fairly quick pace, and displaying a level of talent most of us don't have. This vid was definitely NOT that, and I'm trying to figure out why(?) Does the vid contain product from a major PB advertiser, who sent it in and demanded it be ran? Even that sounds odd, as there's PLENTY of female MTBers that are WAY faster/more skilled than what appears these females are, or do you just need to be a split-tail these days to get sponsored, and/or have your videos FEATURED on PB?

Doesn't matter how fast they go... they are just "DOING IT" !
Ride On Ladies !!
Interpret that as you like. Quality of riding or the ability to put a decent video together. Honestly, some of you need a good slap.
That said, I wish there were more ladies ridin'
