Loic Bruni

After weeks of rumors about one of the biggest transfers of the world cup circuit we can confirm that Loic Bruni will continue to ride for Lapierre Gravity Republic which is managed by Pure Agency. After one junior World Champ title, some Elite podiums and a lot of good times with his mates, the young Red Bull rider has confirmed he wants to stay with his current sponsors and will ride the NEW Lapierre DH next year.

"I'm thrilled Loic has chosen to stay with Team Lapierre Gravity Republic. We've helped him develop as a Junior to become a World Champion and now a strong elite competitor. With the new DH bike he helped to develop alongside Nico Vouilloz and our engineers, I am confident we'll see him on more and more World Cup podiums." Gilles Lapierre – Managing director.

"I'm very proud about Loic's decision. We work hard during the year with a lot of intensity and good and bad moments, so being able to keep riders for a long term project is great and will be helpful to achieve our goals. Loic has a great maturity for a 20 year old guy and I'm sure we will soon have a World Cup victory with him. We're working together for 4 years now and I'm sure we will have more and more successes with him soon! Our head mechanic Jack Roure will also stay with us next year. He's really important for the team due to his professionalism and serenity. All the riders and myself have confidence in him for any technical issues." Laurent Delorme – Team Manager Lapierre / www.pureagency.lu.

"I ride for Lapierre / Pure Agency for 4 years now and I've always felt great with them. I was in contact with few teams in the middle of the season but feelings are really important for me and I was afraid to lose the good ones I've got with Lapierre Gravity staff, both professionally and personally. Consequently I've decided to stay "with the family" and go again for a new project with great ambitions. Moreover the new bike is really cool and I'm sure we could improve it even more! I will be off this winter and will get back to university before going on a trip with Jack for some testing. I will also go to the USA to meet some sponsors and see some SX races! Then it will be time to start again a new season...It will be great!" Loïc Bruni.

as a thick eyebrow'd person myself, it's good to see another thick eyebrow'd successful man not being discriminated against for such having janitorial brooms affixed to the forehead.

Hope you don't have a mono-brow. The bully's can be so cruel sometimes.

I'll never forget when I saw Sam Hill in whistler a few years back, I was blown away by his eyebrows, those things are a venerable force. Steve Smith is known for his moustache but who cares? Anyone can grow a moustache, my girlfriends moustache is huge, but eyebrows? Grow that shit, I dare you.

T-Bot- What the hell is a mono-brow. Is it like a unibrow with mono?!?!

Probably the only guy in the top 30 to go to university. That must be so freaking hard. Mad respect

I think Myriam Nicole is doing uni or something similar as well

And swiss rider Émilie Siegentaler ! Psychology student

Melissa Buehler went to medical school and I think is now a nurse or doctor. Just goes to show most elite racers won't be like peaty and have 20 plus year racing careers. You've got to plan for the future! I started riding DH too late in my life to make a career out of it but I've made sure to have a good paying job and great health insurance so I can still ride and race as a hobby.

Jack Reading is an optician. Injuries kinda ducking him up this year.
  • 2 0
Yeah, I was talking about the guys. Almost all the female riders are following courses, except (if I'm not istaken) Carpenter and Seagrave. I think I remember rachel planning to go to school at the end of last year, dunno if she's done it or not

I'd lie on a couch and listen to Émilie Siegenthaler any day. That accent though...

Jack Reading is an optician and no puns about?

You mean the this "not latest" LaPierre DH bike? Big Grin

haha the only person that says sth inconvenient gets all the hate. truth is bikes barely change beyond style and we as customers should not accept all this high tech excuses to overprice them

All the best to Loic makes sense. Prob best thing for Sam to move, he needs to freshen things up. I feel for Emmeline probably done more for tbe brand in terms of results than anyone else and hard ti tell if its support or luck she could easily been overall champ this year with both. Hope teams start realising the value riders and women like her bring to the sport. Its not going to ever be legit against other sports who have matured past the 20th century or grow to the levels it should be at now or in the future if teams, UCI and all involved keep women's DH down. Good luck Sam and Emmeline.

Respect for doing school and pro level racing.

Yeah, he wasn't going anywhere. Still waiting for the first big move on this list: www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=163404

I takes a lot of integrity to stay where you are when other teams are waving more money at you. It pretty much seals the fate of Sam to leave for another team
  • 1 0
I think so too, he's the Kiwi on the move. Lapierre has another young gun in Lorris.

It's also far more comfortable being a French guy on a French bike team. That goes a long way for being comfortable on your bike. Which is also naturally understandable for Blenki to want to move to another team. Being the only non-French speaker on the entire team can make you feel a bit left out at times.

I'd likely stay on a team that had Nico V heavily involved with.
  • 4 0
Takes after Nico in both his competitive streak and his eyebrow growth characteristics. Looking forward to more from him!

And his calm demeanor and fluid riding style

It wansnt exactly a secret to any team owners or managers that Loic was styling put. Much of he talks and deals happen long before it comes out in public. Hence "Team
Rumors" being able to push all of your bottoms. Notice Loic wasn't in that first cartoon ;-)

Hahah so many typos and auto correct fails in my comment. Sorry not sorry.

What 'bout Blenki? is he staying at the lappierre gravity? And Danny Hart? Rob Warner said smth of "a lot of speculation about his moving to a new team" on the broadcast of the WChamps.... Is he moving to Madison Saraccen?

"I was in contact with few teams in the middle of the season but feelings are really important for me"

Props to you Loic. Feelings are all that matters, if you ask me. You are not gonna hear something like that from a football player anymore.

"...the new bike is really cool and I'm sure we could improve it even more!"......is that gonna be in the brochure? Hahaha

Who are switching bikes next year?

* Is the Masters brothers negotiation with evil bikes on going, for next year domination?
WC team will be called: Masters of Evil spirit of enduro Vengeance! ...too long.

* How about, Gwin on intense? for all american bike and racer? He has no tats though.
Last WC win of intense was Brazil, Matti on M6.

*Yeti with new infinity DH bike, graves and rude back at WC circuit with enduro on the side?, still no budget?.

*Is Claudio C. switching bikes next year for his team? (intense, evil)
Brendan to keep his job?

* any news for spez and ohlins for WC?
