In September a publication commented on Andrew, proclaiming him as "The standout slopestyle rider of the year". He backed up that statement with some solid results in 2008, including 2nd place at at Crankworx Colorado(also winning the Best Trick award), 2nd at Highland MTB's Claymore Challenge, 2nd at the Nissan Townhill Slopestyle in Italy, 4th in the Austrian King of Dirt, 5th at the Red Bull Bike at Ray's MTB.
“We are all really excited to have Andrew aboard”, stated Marin Marketing Manager Mark Vanek. “Andrew’s energy and enthusiasm for riding is awesome. I’m looking forward to seeing him grow as a rider on our bikes. Even after achieving all that he has done he still has a lot of potential-he’s going to impress a lot of people.”
In response to partnering with the Marin program, Taylor said, “This is honestly a great fit for both of us. I live about twenty minutes away from the Marin office, so it’s easy for me to stop by the office to talk to the product designers and go on rides with everybody. I am stoked to be working with Marin, and I think there is a ton of potential behind our partnership.”
Taylor will riding the Marin Wolf Ridge, Quake XLT and Alcatraz bikes in 2009; highlighting Marin's products in some of the biggest mountain bike events around the globe in addition to being on camera as a feature rider in the upcoming “Summer of Shred” film. The season is already starting to fill up with an international schedule of competitions and filming events with an upcoming trip covering California, Africa, Norway and New Zealand.
Andrew has also become the latest addition to the Adidas team. He recently returned home from a week at the Adidas headquarters where he and Summer Of Shred teammate Phil Sundbaum met with the Adidas marketing team and kicked off their involvement by riding down the 1976 Olympic Bobsled Track in Innsbruck, Austria on studded tires. Look for the clip on www.adiridas.com and www.summerofshred.com.
Andrew will also be supported by Gravity Components, Camelbak, Kenda, Formula Brakes, The Hive, Xpedo and X-Fusion.

He was doing so well on versus this is a bit odd.
LEGIT...Andrew Taylor repping Nor Cal and the North Bay. Maybe Marin will actually start putting some work into their gravity line/ riders now.
so now that there is a slopestyle/dj pro rider in marin county (great rider and bikes btw), do you Marin guys think you could put in a little dj park or some trails, maybe hannah ranch back?
that would be cool, base it on post office and polo grounds, that kind of thing, thanks!
Was a bit obvious he was joining them after several videos over the last few months hes been on a marin.
Well done Taylor.
Well done Taylor.
My friend rode a marin xc bike for street, dirt and really hard downhill for abaout 2 yaers now and its still going Very well! Marins is the shit!
yes i meant fork, but thats clearly not a velvet. it has a 20mm through axel and looks more like 140mm than the 130mm maximum of the velvet.
open your eyes.....
open your eyes.....
it could be a rockshox that he just stickered up to be an x fusion b/c i think the velvet is the only fork x fusion makes still. at least thats the only fork on their website. could be some prototype tho. i dunno?
its quite obviously a prototype, if you look on their website at their press release in the news section it states that they will be working with AT on new projects that cant be named, but may be seen in future pictures....
yeah, plus it has what looks like a rock shox red rebound knob on the bottom of the right leg, and that is definetely a maxle...
didn't the X-fusion/Santa Cruz team with Ryan Condrashoff race on V10s with destickered boxxers? could that be a x-fusion with rock shox internals?
The current Marin suspension design has been quietly becoming famous I dont think they are going to be quiet much longer. Get yours soon if you want one Marin is going to sell out fast this year.
