Video: Fort Williams' Hidden Side

Jul 28, 2014
by George Milner
Fort William is one of the most important stops on the UCI MTB World Cup circuit. When you combine one of the most demanding downhill tracks in the world with a huge crowd it creates an all-round amazing weekend for racers and race fans alike. But what many people don't realize is the number of highly technical mountain bike trails that weave down the dense, pine forest lining the lower slopes. In this video Wideopen Mag rider Mark Scott checks out what Fort William has to offer beyond the glare of the World Cup.

Nice edit, but that damn EPIC TV player, such a pain in the ass... I mean, come on! There was a mountainbike video somewhere hidden in these adds!!

If you hover over one of the option at the bottom of the player (e.g. full screen) the ads don't appear ;-)

Fresh change for me. I like it, and it's cool to hear something other than remixes in edits. Certainly doesn't stop it being a cool vid!

That's cool guys - barely a berm to be seen. That terrain reminds me of Worsleys here in Christchurch. Good times.

Nice work man, I'm a wee way north at Drumnadrochit so I don't tend to go down to Ft Bill except for the WC. Solid trails though, I build myself. Salute

With that song and all the fish eye shots, felt like I was watching one of the Earthed movies. Cool trail though!

Yes at the marine harvast before the motor way section if you come off the track and go right along the pugy line you should see them but there pretty hard to spot just keep looking hard and you will see them
