Sludge puddles, boulder-laden trail, root gardens, body swallowing berms—the trails of Vallée Bras du Nord, Quebec lies somewhere between a backcountry epic, Jurassic Park, and a bike park. It’s unique, demanding and mountain biking territory in its most raw form. Yes, one could opt for a bike with more squish in these dense forests, say a Troy or Spartan, but is that even necessary? The new, big-wheeled Django 29 represents a formidable force in the “trail bike” category. Less travel and bigger wheels on terrain this tough? You bet. Don’t believe us? Sit back and let the riding of Mark Wallace in the VBN trail network influence your opinion, or at least cast some unchained riding over your eyes.

I LOOOOVE this video! The riding looks like something most of us weekend warriors can aspire to do... Most of these pro videos make me and probably many others feel woefully inadequate with massive jumps and drops and risks most of us with 8-5 jobs cant afford to take... This brings the fun back down to earth... LOVE IT!

 Couldn't agree more.

If you don't feel inadequate then what's going to convince you that you needs that new bike to be a better rider? Marketing 101, 102 and 103.

@unrooted: Haha no no I have no interest in a new bike right now but I get your point... I just watch these vids because I like seeing my favourite sport in action!

@X-Liam-X:... bet you're the same guy who whines when they only show top of the range bikes and not the more affordable options? How is my view any different to that?

Personally, I don't know Mark Wallace (never met him), but I always root for him as an athlete. Lots of love and support for team Devinci!

This was filmed at Vallees Bras du Nord, near Saint-Raymond, Quebec. Was just there this past weekend and will be heading up again in a couple of weeks. The trails are awesome. Right up there with some of the best trails on the east coast.

Yeah makes me want to go ride, but...unfortunately my trails are no where near this cool or scenic. Guess I need a 2,000 mile road trip! Would also love to check out a Devinci Django or Wallace 29!
