Maxxis tires are the choice for many pro racers, and even more non pro riders. Not only do they have a large selection of tires, but their tread patterns and compounds accent each tire to its highest degree.
Maxxis tires has been at the top of the tire game for a long time, so that's why we chose them when we were sourcing out our rubbers.
Maxxis tires has been at the top of the tire game for a long time, so that's why we chose them when we were sourcing out our rubbers.
As stated, Maxxis tires has been dominating a large portion of the race scene for a while now. Sponsoring numerous downhill teams and riders around the world, Maxxis has fine tuned their tires to work best in most conditions, and when combined with their 3C compound it makes for a very soft but sticky tire that reacts well, and is predictable.
When it comes to popularity contests the High Rollers have been a big deal for a long time now. Featuring a low sitting middle tread with rounded tops, and high side knobs, they are very fast rolling, and corner very well due to the high side knob's. The High Roller has been a solid tire for a very long time and it's what our team will be running on the backs of their new rides this season. Up front you can expect to see Minion DHF 2.5s in the 3C compound.
With the recent development of the Maxxis 3C compound we have been blessed with a responsive tire compound. Utilizing 3 different types of compounds, the 3C technology stepped it up in a big way for the tire market. For the base layer Maxxis used a 70a compound for extended tire wear time, and less knob flex. The middle compound is a 42a which offers unparalleled braking performance, and then the 40a shoulder knob's dig into corners with very limited rebound. All 3 combined, a little bit of Maxxis love, and you got yourself a stellar set of tires.
Maxxis supports a massive line up of tires, everything including dirt bikes, drift cars, off road trucks, and mountain bikes, so if you're in the market for a quality tire for your shuttle rig and your riding rig, check out Maxxis tires. NRG Enterprises out of Nelson BC has kept our team running on Maxxis tires for the past 3 seasons-THANKS GUYS!

but im going to start trying dhf and highroller in the rear
My high rollers corner really well when conditions are good (on my hardtail)
My minions rock the world (DH/ FR rig)
Maxxis rocks!

Maxxis rocks!
I find that the best fr cornering is jst 2 front minions. unreal on drifty flat corners.
Ive noticed the cornering issue. I cant get to low with a HR on the rear as i can with a Nevegal....
on my ht also....
THe only problem with nthe nevegals is they are huge you have to run a 2.35 unless you want to fight your tire and then they are single wall. I love my minions and I wish they still made the mobster
I just bought a pair of holy rollers and their so sick! not only do they work well, but they look hella tight also
if only they made condoms....
holy crap i thought i was the only person who ever thought of something like that.... studded ones called highrollers LOL
Kenda is the crappiest product out!
ive got 2 minion fronts on my bike, really good in austrailian conditions.. and maxxis tyres on my 4x4.. haha
I got minions on my bike, and a pair of swapthing's and a pair of wetscreams (where I live it's winter for 8 months and it rains like hell) anyhow, Maxxis tires rule my world, oh and IMO highroller's suck at cornering, minions ROCK!
ya, i've got three pairs of tires for my STP and they're all maxxis... couldn't be happier
ya i got a pair too from my buddy and im glad i bought them...really good tires
meh thier dec, i find that they wear away easily,
i prefer kenda
i prefer kenda
ive ridden many tires from kenda and maxxis.maxxis tires lasted alot longer.

I would like to buy the high rollers tires, but in brazil is so difficult to find this...

Yeah Maxxis' are "da chite" I even started runnin' Creapers on my Toyota trail rig... but, WHERE CAN I GET DUAL PLY 2.35'S ???
chain reaction cycles?? try them
MAXXIS SUCK!!!!!!!SWHALBE 4 LIFE
schwable suck!maxxis for life!!!!
I've been debating whether I should go back to my 3c, which is just sitting in the garage. I'm running a 2.35 Intense in the back now. Pretty tacky, but I'm shredding it to pieces.
Maxxis makes a High Roller Semi Slick too... or at least they used to. It's 2.35, dual ply, super fast on dry boulders and packed trails.

i run kendas and they run forever. just got a brand new set of nvegals and they hook up like glue, roll fast, and corner amazingly. try em out...
No thanks. Get some more trail time- you'll find out the hard way.
my nevagals suck da big cock
i want some high rollers for the back

nevegals are good but maxxis for sure, i have a bond of trust with maxxis and wouldnt ever give that up
haha what if the tire blew and u went flying into a tree and broke ur arms... i think u'd consider a different tire. not that i hate maxxis i just thought i'd be a smart ass and say sumthin that an american may not be able to handle.... ahhh americans gota love them
Already been using since January good very good well done
Holy Rollers are kick-ass tyres.
tioga white tigers, best tires I have ever used. Hook up in the grease like no other tire I have found yet.
yea those damn greasy dh runs
i cant see the advantage of high rollers over minions
I dunno why you would put high rollers on the back, I think minions run alot quicker with less grip than high rollers.
unclemofo, you're right.. I meant High Roller. I'm getting my bikes mixed up. Errr!
High Roller Semi-Slick: http://www.maxxis.com/PRODUCTS/BICYCLE/product_detail.asp?id=5410
ive always wondered about the high rollers, my dhf and dhr can pretty much do it all, are they better in the muck?
i have the minion ust 2.5

Dude maxxis tires rocks the f*cking house!!! Kenda cannot keep up with maxxis in any kind of riding!!! dude kenda sucks maxxis rules!!
i run two minions on my bike they work better in dryer weather than wet everything just gets stuck right inside the knobs so i might get a pair of high rollers
Maxxis, the best? Your kidding!? Try rockin some Arrow Racing tires for a few weeks, then we'll talk!
I heard that! Arrow's are the only US owed company.
maxxis tires are good and all but they are deffinetly not worth the money. the tires i would suggest are Kenda Nevegals, DH casing 2.5 super tack. work well in wet, dry, leaves, rock faces, north shore, awesome corning and last quite a while.
Just got the maxxis minions with the 3c compound on my ride this weekend, pricey but hella worth it !
i find the sticky rubber wears faster than a harder tire and the reson some people find the dont corner well on flat is because since the side wall is so high its practically flat on the top so when you lean into a turn there is less tire contact, since the k-rads are rounded there is always about the same tire contact.
80 days on maxxis 3c's in the whistler bike park..not one flat tire all season! that says some thing right there! maxxis 4 life!!
