One year ago, I got a text at 4am letting me know Kelly McGarry had suddenly passed. It was a tragedy. I was really really lucky to have been able to call him a friend the last few years, share some good times, and work on awesome projects together. I created this tribute about a year ago, and for whatever reason I never released it. Which looking back seems selfish. I'm happy to share some of the good times I had with Kelly. I hope his example can inspire people to live as well as he did.
Tribute-Music > same band as in Stevie Smith Tribute-Video... this is no coincidence! I think they ride together in peace right now... We miss you guys down here!
Slightly odd when you are smiling, but watching the video through teary eyes, and all for a complete stranger that you've never met. Great video for somebody that we clearly lost way too soon. Thank you.
It's been over a year since his passing... I never new the man... Yet I weep for him and all his peeps every time I see one of his tribute videos. Bless.
Even a year on words fail me trying to describe just how great a person you were on and off the bike... At least I know you'll be wrecking havoc up there man!
Such a loss. Sympathy from us all to the McGarry family, and New Zealand in general, for losing such a special son. RIP Kelly, gone but impossible to forget. You were an inspiration to us all. XX
never met Kelly but I feel legitimately sad as though i lost a personal friend. touching complete strangers through his riding and positive attitude.
goes to show what an amazing human he was!
The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.
@Kramz: making fun of how someone dies is never a comment that is appropriate for this website. You're obviously unable to empathize with the situation and you should delete the post or leave the site
@giantwhip: I wasn't making fun, I didn't know how he died, and looked it up. I wish I died of cardiac arrest in my early 20's before I worked at a grocery store.
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
RIP
