Parker Jamieson - Fall at the Ranch: After missing half of the season due to an elbow dislocation, Prince George local Parker Jamieson hits up the Kamloops Bike Ranch as fall rolls in and the days begin to get shorter.
Making Shadows - Keiran Volk: This video was inspired by the early morning light we were gifted with during the early hours of our shoot on 'Ya Mum.' The crisp white light popped through the dry Sydney bush providing the bangers while making Kezza's long, luscious, locks and stylish beard glow.
Long Live Wharny - Charlie Flynn: Charlie Flynn shredding the trails in Wharncouver. Massive thanks to the Clay Spades lads for building all of the trails, several of which were recently destroyed by the Fun Police.
Lone Wolf: It all started almost five years ago, when Mayo started to dig, build, and adjust his own local trail. A lot of work and effort came together to make it what it is today. Deep in the woods, he’s the only one who goes there to build and ride.
My Ride Life - Carl Decker, Giant Factory Off-Road Team: Carl Decker races bikes. All kinds of bikes. With a career that spans decades, the resident of Bend, Oregon, has won pro titles in road, cross-country, cyclocross, and enduro events. And since 2002 he has been partnered with Giant. Carl’s Ride Life story is varied and unique. From national cycling championships to the X-Games to homebuilt cars, he has built a life around going faster and seeking new experiences in speed. Here’s that story, in his own words.
On Track with Curtis Keene - Confidence Changes All | S3E5: Curtis Keene and Jared Graves battle Colorado’s high altitudes in round five of the Enduro World Series. Jared’s confidence is running low after a season full of adversity, but he fights on in hopes of turning things around in Aspen.
Ken Block's GYMKHANA NINE: Raw Industrial Playground: Roasting tires.
Incredible new Female Highline World Record!: On August 24, Mia set a new highlining world record.
The Crown Traverse: A tale of suffering, transcendence and two men named Mike on a quest to find their breaking point. Follow The North Face ultra-runners Mike Foote and Mike Wolfe on their 600-mile run through sketchy solos, whiteouts, and utter exhaustion.
Bella Coola Gnar Segment (from INTO THE MIND): JP Auclair, Kye Peterson, and Callum Pettit throwing down.
Run Mama Run - Ep 1: Elite runner Sarah Brown trains through an unexpected pregnancy to compete in the Olympic trials just 16 weeks after giving birth. A five-part series directed by Daniele Anastasion for espnW and ESPN Films.
The Tracers - An inside look at the Real-Life Database of America's Firearms: There's no telling how many guns we have in America—and when one gets used in a crime, no way for the cops to connect it to its owner. The only place the police can turn for help is a Kafkaesque agency in West Virginia, where, thanks to the gun lobby, computers are illegal and detective work is absurdly antiquated. On purpose. Thing is, the geniuses who work there are quietly inventing ways to do the impossible.
@sioka: Fiend BMX and Ty Morrows 'No Bicycles' is a killer street edit, every trick and second of this video is a banger, I promise all of you youtu.be/jVhTSAyxnZY
It would cost Americans more to have all these agencies doing the work to assist authorities then to do a national recall of all automatic firearms. Who needs a .50 cal to go hunting.
It's not for hunting, it's for protection from the govt. Unlike Australia or England where they took all guns away and you can't do anything if the government takes over your life. That's the beauty of America. Govt can't take over us. At least the south of the US.
@dannygoesmtb: I hope you're kidding, Sure back before the gov't was using drones to kill people your theory might have had some hope but if the gov't wants you they are not coming to the door knocking....The the gov't has taken over America don't kid yourself.
@LuvAZ: This really is the place where the boisterous can shout from a position of ignorance!
The truth is that the "THE STATE", by which I mean governments, kill more people than, well, ANYTHING, short of cataclysmic events. And on top of that, each time a government does so, it does it behind the guise of some legality. Communism, has managed to top the list for the numbers of people killed since 1900, and the genocides (many of which are still never talked about for some reason) are numerous.
The Holodomor, as an example, was the forced Famine on the people of Ukraine by the Soviet Union. I've read numbers as high as 12 million (hard to confirm.. more likely between 6 and 10).
That's just one! The list is numerous and available to any keyboard soldier out there that actually wants to know what they are talking about!
So anyone that knows history knows that @dannygoesmtb's comments aren't irrational. They are based in historical truths that existed during the founding of this country. But if you don't know stuff, you should shut up!
I'd like to know the last time a ".50 cal" was used in a crime. BTW, do you mean a .50 AE pistol round, .50 Beowolf rifle round, .50 BMG rifle round, or something else?
I'll let it slide, since you don't reside in this country...but automatic firearms are already illegal...and require a tax stamp and plenty of documentation in order to own one. And thats only in some states....so yeah...bout that national recall of automatic firearms...
Also, not everyone's gonna need a .50 (similar to the one shown) for hunting...but there are smaller platforms for the .50 caliber round that could prove to be useful. Hunting involves killing...using a smaller caliber firearm because its less scary, but causes the animal to suffer, doesn't make sense.
The majority of the down votes here are almost certainly coming from countries where we assist with military defense via money and equipment (looking at you GB and Canukistan).
And the down votes coming from US snowflakes are from our hippie neighbors who will run the the closest armed guy on the block to defend him when the fit hits the shan.
@BigballmcCall: I can't believe all of the neg props. Doesn't matter whether you are using a .22 or a .50 cal, it's fine as long as it's used responsibly.
@LuvAZ: Just like Doritos, the ignorant can keep neg-propping and ignoring the facts. I'll just keep posting.

Every totalitarian regime in history, without exception, began their takeover of the citizenry with the same two steps: 1. De-arm 2. Censor free speech/press
@dtm1: Exactly, but ignorance is a sort or rally cry it seems. Nobody would be willing to just pick up a book and verify this because they feel justified in their lazy scholarship, which essentially entails listening to other ignorant people.
@BDKR: No, to say the Holodomor was somehow preventable if Ukrainian peasants had access to guns seem rather insensitive. Don't necessarily have a problem with guns, just the whole state genocide as justification seems ill-advised. The state already has all the control they need. The NSA is climbing in your windows and snatching your people up. Have guns, it's America.
@dirkmcdirt: because most mountain bikers are super liberal, they just don't understand what it means to have a second amendment. I grew up under a communist govt.. I know how evil any govt can be
@dtm1: no probs with guns here in Canukistan, as you call your neighbour to the north. We have them. What's the problem with registering your guns? If your gun is involved in crime it's easily traceable. If you use your gun legally no problem. Is the government going to come around and take your guns away? I doubt it. The problem isn't with the guns, the problem is with the people. Guns don't kill people. People kill people.
@bholton: I agree with most of what you're saying except the last part. I think guns do kill people. Everyone in the world has some "bad days", where they turn raging or otherwise go mental for a few minutes or a few days. Shit happens. The problem comes up when you combine that with 65 high-powered handguns and assault rifles lying around within easy reach. In those cases, the guns killed people.
or, if you've got a bigger t-shirt: Guns don't kill people. Politicians who get bought off by the NRA, homophobic a*sholes with legally-purchased assault rifles and all of us doing nothing about gun violence kills people.
@bholton: you do get all guns in the USA are registered right? And you do get your finger print is taken up, thorough background check. I'm in special ops, and even I had to get back ground checked for my ar15. Along with my hunting rifles and shotguns. And as for guns kill people, knives kill much more. Along with hand to hand murder. Not to mention cars. As for common sense gun legislation, it's a way to slowly get rid of all guns. Let me explain, so the common sense gun laws say that if you are on the no fly list you shouldn't be able to buy. When I was in the 8th grade I threatened to beat up a teacher, and got charged with a terroristical threat. I couldn't fly for a year. People get put on that list for the DUMBEST reasons. Lots of doctors, politicians, and teachers are on that list. To get off that list, there is no judicial process along with getting on that list. You can literally just be randomly put on that list. Can you see how the government can use that against regular people to stop people from owning a gun and protecting themselves against a tyrannical government? Just look at Venezuela, USSR, China, Iran, all countries with tyrannical governments that at one point banned all weapons. The second amendment is a negative right, meaning the government has to enforce and give you the freedom to that right under our Constitution.t he FBI released a document with over 600 pages of cases in the past few years where guns stopped a murder or a crime. Each page had multiple stories.
@dannygoesmtb: That's the part from the video that wasn't entirely clear. The registration part. No central database, but some convoluted time consuming money wasting way to track a gun to its owner. Imagine if you could exercise your second amendment rights with a car. It would be really difficult to track and trace the use of cars in violent crimes or murders.
Wow. That no fly list thing sucks. American grade 8 students must be tougher than coffin nails; a real threat to national security. Seems a little extreme. Maybe don't vote for the candidates that support that approach. Are there any?
Am I the only one who enjoys watching people riding enduro bikes more than watching people ride downhill bikes? The guys on the downhill bikes might descent faster, but the guys on the enduro bikes usually seem to have more playfulness in their riding style.
Did Pinkbike touch a nerve? All they did was show a segment on how hard it is to trace a gun from a crime scene. Furthermore, the tightrope, Bella Coola , and the Crown traverse had nothing to do with Mountain biking either.
Hey Parker..,awesome showcase of the Kamloops Bike Ranch!!! Well fine man, and awesome videography. I just moved to Kamloops and still can't believe how fortunate the city of Kamloops is to have that at their fingers. ????
Is it propaganda day ? Or are you guys at pb just pushing your own agenda ? What's next , trump videos showing him building walls around mt bike areas ?
every week from now on, i fully expect a perfectly curated list on 10 awesome videos that appeal to all viewers of the site and have never been posted before. do not tire, do not falter, do not fail.
@Ernstzx: I'd like to see the video where Trump gets the directions wrong and starts building the wall between Canada and the US starting in the Strait of Juan de Fuca and still gets the Mexicans to pay for it.
Being so happy and satisfied of how the government and its branches manage to restrict mountain biking in one too many places, I do support Pinkbike's political activism of demanding more of that incompetent and corrupt government intervention. not
Poor, poor form Pinkbike for showing that vid about weapons in the states and the commentary. Are we trying to demonize Americans or Americans who own guns? Trying to shame us for something we believe in?
But the biggest of all question is WHAT THE PHUCK DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH MOUNTAIN BIKES?
As an advocate for free speech, an actual American value, I completely disagree with you. If you don't like the video don't watch it. If you don't like the occasional random videos, don't scroll to the bottom of Movies for Your Monday. Not all American's "believe" the status quo in America in regards to guns is acceptable.
Social justice has always been intertwined in, for lack of a better term, "extreme" sports. Those who are lucky enough to make a living doing one of our favorite activities often reflect on their good fortune and use their media conduits as a way to FREELY voice an opinion or bring light to an injustice. It's no different than a musician or actor/actress.
Just like I support your right to question what this has to do with mountain bikes, I support pinkbike (don't forget they are Canadian based as well) in sticking in the odd social issue every now and again. If these types of videos ever started to shadow the mountain biking, we'd just have to move on to another MTB site.
If you really wanted to stick it to them, go for a bike ride while packing heat, like an Alaskan.
@zeerob: Just to be clear, I never questioned their right to do so. Nor would I ever. But just because you can doesn't mean you should.
Anyway, my issue with this is far simpler. It's not an assault on the right to speak, but a question of how we speak in a time when everyone is long on condemnation and name calling. Derisive commentary on serves to further divide. This is in a world where there is constant conflict and more and more people pointing fingers out of "some idea" that's not fully well thought out.
Most of this is backed by media, who just fan the flames.
You should be ashamed about the lack of gun control. Considering that there have been 102 gun-related deaths in your country in the past 72 hours, I suggest you watch what you say about guns. The stats are here: www.gunviolencearchive.org/last-72-hours
Here's a bit of historical fact for you. The world has been rife with violence and general social malaise as long as man has been around. Guns don't cause it. Neither did sticks, stones, knifes, pitch forks, or bows.
If you really want to get rid of gun violence, address what causes a person to pick up a gun in the first place.
@BDKR: For sure it's not the fault of the guns that people get murdered. But way too many people get ridiculously easy access to dangerous weapons in the U.S. The fact that there is lax gun control means more killing, and that's something more Americans should clue into.
