Salomon TV Fall Winter 16/17 Teaser: en years ago we introduced Salomon Freeski TV, then added Salomon Running TV shortly thereafter. We’ve delivered episodes that range from trail running in Papa New Guinea to the 2015 award-winning total solar Eclipse freeskiing episode in the arctic circle. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, we’re bringing the kids together to form one channel — Salomon TV. To create this season’s content, we’ve sent a crew of Salomon freeski athletes to British Columbia, explored the Italian Alps, went on an expedition with Kilian Jornet in Norway, and took another lucky fan on his Salomon “Dream Trip”. And that wasn’t even the big one.

What If You Fly: Hawaiian artist and muralist Sean Yoro (a.k.a. HULA) traveled to the arctic waters of Baffin Island, Nunavut, to paint a portrait of a local Inuit woman on the sea ice. This is the most technical and remote location that Sean has ever attempted a mural, and the wild forces of nature at the top of the world are unpredictable. But for Sean, the physical and creative risks are worth it for a chance at something new. “There is freedom waiting for you, On the breezes of the sky, And you ask "What if I fall?" Oh but my darling, What if you fly?”― Erin Hanson

I suppose it is natural selection which I'm all for. Especially now we need step ladder and pocket knife training (FFS)!! But just think of the influenceable kids, it's them that need protecting not the numbskull pros heads that aren't already wearing one really! It's their living too, they can't earn properly if they get injured seriously (we've seen great coverage on PB of late too, so we'll done PB) plus nobody wants to see a someone they look up to at a contest do their last ride for example...
We get it...it's "cool"...but so is walking and talking.
i still ride park, i still see people shredding the bowls with mad skill, not wearing a helmet. all you can really do is lead by example, Fox Clothing should be doing their part by leading as well.
that's not the point...I really couldn't care less about adult BMXers not wearing helmets...as far as I'm concerned we need additional pop control.
that said...companies like FOX should be setting an example for younger riders. It chills my bones to think about young up and comers having their lives ruined from what could have been prevented by a simple helmet.
Neck braces aren't exactly a great example considering no one can definitively agree whether they do more harm or good...not really a question of inconvenience.
Anyways...all good, I don't really care whether pro riders wear a helmet, just seems like it's setting a bad example for groms. When you say bike park I assume you're referring to an MTB bike park...the days of anyone riding MTB without a helmet are long gone.
I would have to imagine that if you went to a local BMX/skate park you'd see a lot of people without helmets as helmets are sort of the "uncool" thing to wear, which is still beyond me.
Maybe I'm wrong...I don't know anything about bmx/skate other than the fact that I constantly see videos of guys doing ridiculous tricks down 10-15+ stairs without a helmet...
