Nico Gets Squirly on the new Bos Products
Mar 19, 2008
The Orpheus Crew recently shot a short video for Bos, featuring exclusive footage of Nico test riding the new Idylle fork and Stoy shock.
We've been covering a lot of the BOS stuff lately as it's really sexy and they have an amazing history with Nico that spans many a World Cup victory.

Check out how gnarly Nico gets on the new Bos Idylle fork and Stoy shock.

I think it's more of the case, if we were to attempt to ride like Nico, then things would get sideways and Gnarly. Nico pins it and will always be a legend.
His riding is Gnarly in the sense that he is motoring across such rough terrain at such high speeds. Pretty common terminology there my friend.
Incredible riding from all involved there, BOS are obviously doing something right!!

If i had a bos suspension and a lapierre ride, i would sing "xmas came early to me" all day full time.
Nioco is the knarliest, smoothest racer in the book. KNAR BOOT! Pounding those rock lines into submission. Sick clip.

I guess the trail is la peille, south of France, a very rocky and technical trail. Fabien the second rider on the video is about to be famous he's fast too...
The fork looks cool.

I've seen fabien riding during his race run in mont sainte anne. Let me tell you it was amazing to see how high up and far he jumped-whipped on the hip jump !I thought for a minute he would get off the trail and smash into the crowd !

well when i saw this vid the first what i tought was - nico is going to rule world cup aggain very soon. best wishes for him!
so did nico's RC career go to crap is that why he's back on a bike, I remember being crushed when he left mt biking. good to see him back and being fast.
Now if I could dial in my compression and rebound to a tenth of the plushness they're getting in that vid, I'd be one extremely happy guy.....Oh yeah, without dropping $1500 in new suspension, that is...
the fork looks sick, does anybody know if thats the oil cartridge( as stated above) or a piggy-back style reservoir like found on rear shocks? might explain why the fork seems to work so smoothly over the terrain......
answer to my own question:
"with its innovative pressurized damping system. As BOS points out, pressurized damping is commonplace in motocross and MotoGP forks, and it’s actually surprising we haven’t seen this technology migrate into mountain bike suspension until now. By pressurizing the damping with the aid of the unique external reservoir, the damping and lubrication functions of the fork are separated. This allows better control over both, presumably leading to more consistent damping as well as tighter control over damping characteristics. This is a really trick setup, and we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see the mainstream fork makers adopting this route in the near future."

i hear bos are indeed good at what they do...but remember a lot of it is those riders..give them a pair of marzocchis equilivant..say the world cups and they would probably be going just as fast. cartridge on out side is an ok idea..but a bit pointless if you can keep it adjustable and on the inside.
Strange shit going on here... I still prefer Marzocchi though, but what would be the price for a BOS fork and Shock ?

There is very little if any "GNAR"...
