The 2015 NW Cup is over the hump and heading downhill toward the finals. With just three races left, time is running short to grab the top spot for the overall. Check HERE to see where you stand.

Round 5 will go down at the always awesome Stevens Pass Bike Park. A nice shot of rain last weekend has the trails in prime condition. There will be periodic trail closures for practice and racing, but the park will be open to the public all weekend. When you're not practicing, go catch some air on Rock Crusher and PBR. There very well may be a chainless race Friday night down Rock Crusher as well. More on that later.

Pro, Cat 1 and Cat 2 will get to compare times as they will all be shredding Slingshot Wookie this weekend. Here's a video of most of the course:

Cat 3 will be on the technical yet fun Lichen It to Lovin' It.

Heres a newer go pro of the track. Hopefully bottom section is done? www.pinkbike.com/video/416621

I was wondering about that, last weekend it wasn't even close to being finished, it would suck if they have to send them down the fire road.

If not done, I imagine it would go left down the way it always has, not on the fire road.

The section that has always been there is no longer ridable.

It would be rad to see them connect to the lower half of Lovin' It via the old-old cutoff on Wookie to the road...or something like that.

I have it on good authority that everything will (or maybe already is) done. Everyone can sleep easy now.

I believe in Stevens Pass, it will be done, yes it will.

 It is done

@Motoracer31 Sanchez, I hope so... We were there Sunday and the turns following the step up were torn out. I even saw some wood slats - hope to god they don't add another wood berm. It'll be interesting to see if they can dial that in between Sunday and Thursday.

So bummed if theres more wood. I hope it gets done! It would be cooler to have to get rough like it was in those turns than have more wood berms.

Yeah, it would be nice if Stevens posted some form of update prior to all of us showing up on Friday.

I'll get an update together regarding the new reroute, probably on Thursday. I don't always get around to posting on Pink Bike first thing, so Stevens Pass Bike Park Facebook and stevenspass.com are usually the best places to find the most timely updates. Cheers, Jules

Yeah, It's kinda blown-out right now due to the severe west coast drought. I was there last weekend and had fun, but the holes are getting bigger and some big rocks are emerging on all trails. The weather needs to help the trail crew out a bit, or maybe they need a bigger crew and a couple choppers dropping water!

@StevensPassBikePark whats up with the racetrack that is flagged and trimmed under the chairlift?

I'm guessing that's the upcoming double-black-diamond trail they've been working on going back to last season. Haven't been there yet this season somehow, so I'm only guessing.

SNOW AND WATER WHERE IS THIS
  • 1 1
Steven's Pass Bike Park, about 50 miles east of Seattle, WA. Haven't been there in a couple years but they use to only have to 5 trails.

Old video. Apart from last weekends rain, it's been bone dry.

Sorry everyone, my bad. Didn't get a chance to get over and do a proper preride vid. You get the point though.

Scott, you are a family man with a full time job. You're excused.
