I'm currently being told sell my bike because I broke my collar bone, well time to show my parents this and say "IN YOUR FACE! ITS STAYIN!"
Broke my collar bone on my bike last year... got a plate and 9 screws... then proceeded to bend (around 30 degrees) my plate... Doctors wasn't to happy, but im still riding
broke mine too ..two months ago and 2 weeks after the surgery(8 screws) i began to ride again..i have bended mine too ..about 10 degrees ..not as bad as you bud !
I have broken my collar bone 3 times and bent a plate
that has to be the best nwd vid to date, its a shame its going to be that last, but then again better to go out on top. also great to see the local hill in video (highland).

Yeah the collar bone is the most commonly broken bone. If you have not broken a collar bone, than you're not a true biker!
collar bones, yea they suck, you cant grip shit, haha, but yea this vids looks like its gonna be the best one yet and sadly the last one.
I fractured my collar bone. ran into a tree, just running, not even riding my bike, just running on my feet... never saw it coming.
I went head first into a rock garden from 5 feet up. The only thing that stopped my whole body was my collar bone, and it's still trucking. Drink your milk, kids.

broke 2 ribs a couple of weeks ago..Nothing compares to the feeling of riding my MTB fast.Not even the injury or pain.Scary enough but the true..Props for those riders..

ye for sure so true aswell, i had a bad crash up at fort bill was in a and e for the rest of the day but the next day i was up there filming and the day after attempting to ride (mainly falling off tbh)
*Cough!* I'm a three-time member of the Collarbone Club. Looks like a piece of driftwood, but it is in tact...and I'm still riding. The one thing one cannot mess with - stating the obvious, I realize - is brain injury. And, even with a helmet one can still splash his/her brain around inside his/her skull given sufficient deceleration-trauma. Keep fingers crossed to not break any vertebrae; bones heal; know when to walk away from stupid shit (you can always try it another day); protect your bean. Ride smart.

wildbrain- u got so many negative probs because u just called every biker whos not broken there collar bone a non proper mtb biker, so people who havent like myself gave u negative props for slaging us all off, good enough?

how can you tell this is the best disorder yet? They always have good trailers, but 7,8, and 9 have lacked cohesiveness and fresh ideas. The ninth suffered from so much Utah it got to be too much of the same. These movies make 13 year olds balls tingle. That's the only reason they continue to make any doe
they make money cause there the best in the world, they r the documentary of the best riders and the most insane progression of the sport, u may think that other movies have more artistic shots, but noone can match NWD for content
Roam is far better content, and the 6th one of NWD was the best. watch it and you'll see that all the ones after are just repeats.

Holy crap this is going to be the best disorder ever. The filming and quality already sets it apart from other movies, and the riding is insane.
And 4 ACL reconstructions? A friend of mine had his ACL completely reconstructed in may, and he still cant ride mountain bikes.

this is the last of the NWD series, yes. Im sure freeride entertainment will continue to make bike movies however, just separate from the NWD series. Seasons was the last Collective movie, but the same people are making Follow Me right now under Anthill Productions or whatever its called.

is it bad if this scares me off of trying new stuff rather than pumping me up? but it still looks off the hizzy and i cant wait to see it! maybe the real thing will have less focus on consequences of being a legit rider
ya it happens man but remember that just because u crashed, doesn't mean ur going to break something. these guys crash super hard, look at bourdo, he can eat shit har sometimes but he also gets right back up and does it again

Wow. This really showcases how committed and ballsy these guys are. If this trailer doesn't get VOD then something is wrong. This is shaping up to be an epic film. Can't wait for it to come out!

Now I don't feel so bad for breaking my collarbone twice in 6 months riding last year. Just dust yourself off and get ready to ride as soon as you are able to.

This trailer just explained why I'm not pro. I prefer to ride again the next day, not spend half my seasons healing. Glad some guys are willing to do it cuz it's sick to watch.

I was at Blackrock when Semenuk was filming. Crazy to see him try to 3 the new step up.... dang i'm super stoked to see this show.
I got a chance to go to Blackrock for the first time, i don't get to ride stuff like that at all, so i am in awe and haven't even got past the skills park. I ran into some builders from Bellingham who have been staying there for the last couple of days, they hook me up with a lift, let me know what to expect from Granny's Kitchen. Then one of them looks at me and says hey Semenuk was here yesterday filming for NWD10, you want to see the step up he was filming?
Guys if you have not had a chance to see this thing it is no freaking joke, you drop in off the cheese grater, over there 20ft pump jump into this 25ft step up, and thats not the finish after the step up there is a ladder drop over the fire road,
Now to see Brandon 360 the step up, i am below average can't do hardly any of this, but for you guys out there sending it like this, props, keep it going, gives guys like me something to enjoy!

Ya this movie is guna pwn but what im most excited about is that its filmed with red cameras! i cant wait to see what they can pull off with those cameras. maybe a 4k resolution edition??? oh that would be sweet cept we would need a red rocket card to play back and a sony 4k projector.
Yeah looking forward to that too. I believe those things can do a few hundred frames per second too, so that should give us some really stellar slow motion shots.

I give these dudes a lot of respect, not so more because they are riding their bikes, but because of their attitude towards pain (this is what really makes the different and the key factor which set them appart from other riders). How much are you willing to give, how much pain are you happy to go through?
not so much as are you "happy to go through" im sure none of them are happy they crashed but you have a point. i know from personal experiance that after being in the hospital for a week and having bed rest for a week after you get out, you take a second look at weither you should bike again.. but these guys don't care, its what they love and depend on

This sums up what we do as MTBer's Push yourself until you get it!! NWD 10 is gonna be EPIC! Great way to finish the series, can't wait to see what Freeride Ent. has in store for us next?!?!?! LIVE TO RIDE!!!

This trailer sucks. Freeride entertainment has made the same f*cking movie ten years in a row. Also, their movies has made all mountainbikers seem like a bunch of huckers trying to prove how f*ckin' badass we are. Mountainbiking is about having fun. Seems like everyone has forgotten that.

Very true! However, you don't get on a bike to get scared shitfaced and hurt yourself. You ride your bike because it is fun and because it is the one thing you love to do that keeps your thoughts away from your every day life. There is quite a big difference between pushing you limits and hucking. You can angle it any way you'd like, but on my opinion, the fun side of the sport is not emphasized nearly enough as it should! Of course, the hucking side of the sport is very important indeed, but the fact that every single NWD movie is about hucking makes it quite boring after ten years.
wow best intro to a video iv seen. So ture, This year was the first time for me injuring myself biking. Been out 7 weeks so far, had a full leg cast the whole summer. But ill be back riding again in a week or so
on thursday in whistler i sprained ligimants in my neck and bruised ribs in my back. i said the same thing that they said.. its all part of the sport and you just have to recover and move on. simple as that. pain is temporary, riding is forever.

Am I the only one thinking this is getting worst then the Rocky movies? Soon enough we will be in NWD 74x10^23. Too much of "angry teenager music" if you ask me... still, good riding although.

at JDilleen , I had surgery on my hip ( atrosis ) and the docter said I could still ride downhill , so don't sell your bike man
