Pinkbike Are Looking For a New European Sales Executive

Pinkbike is the largest mountain bike website in the world and has seen significant growth in the audience from Europe, now the largest source of traffic in the world. With this growth we are expanding our advertising team with a new sales executive role.

Based in beautiful Squamish B.C., Pinkbike has increased its staff by almost 50% around the globe and Europe is one of the most important areas for development. Being the leader in mountain bike media and reaching all corners of the globe, we are looking for the right person to join this exciting and inspiring business. This role is the ideal start in the cycling media industry and will suit someone straight out of university or looking to start a new and rewarding career.

Reporting to the sales manager, your role will include:
- Advertising sales to European based businesses within the cycling industry.
- Identifying business opportunities by uncovering prospects and evaluating their position in the market.
- Selling in advertising options by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects and recommending solutions.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
- Identifying product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Developing the needs of a client and provide effective and worthwhile advertising solutions.
- Preparing reports and forecasts in your territory to report to the wider team.
- Maintaining records on interactions with clients and an effective sales process path.

Skills Required are:
- Outgoing and social personality, being approachable and easy to communicate with.
- A competitive drive to ensure your enthusiasm motivates yourself and team around you.
- Proven track record of setting and achieving goals.
- Be based in Europe and easily accessible to an airport.
- Discipline to be able to work unsupervised.
- An expert knowledge of mountain biking as a whole and passion for the sport.
- Ability to speak French, German or Italian are not essential but a bonus.
- History of employment within a cycle industry workplace.
- Sales experience not essential but willing to learn, take advice and listen to team members a must.
- Full drivers license and valid passport.

 Well that would rule out anyone who relies on a certain level of income to maintain their lifestyle or meet their commitments.

 Sorry i wasn't particularly clear. I agree with what your saying, but meant more that the right person would apply then ask about salary later, as they are more concerned with doing what they love, then the money a certain jobs brings. A lot of companies do this to weed out the people who are just looking for the salary that they think comes with a certain role. Sales Exec for example.
