Pivot Cycles Signs Freeride Pioneer Aaron Chase

by Pivot Cycles
Aaron Chase is on board Pivot Cycles for the next few years - congrats.

Pivot Cycles is pleased to announce the addition of Aaron Chase to their roster of riders. Chase, a master in the world of freeride, is best known for pushing boundaries and for his technical and creative style, both on and off the bike. He has graced the covers of countless magazines, stood atop the most sought after podiums and is now best known for his progressive video projects. As a content producer for both GoPro and Red Bull Media House, Aaron’s videos have been seen on most major TV networks and his You Tube views number well over 100 million.

A true East Coaster, AC was born and raised in New Hampshire; calling Highland Mountain Bike Park his summer home and spending the remainder of the year at his home in New Jersey at the foothills of Mountain Creek Bike Park.

bigquotesThis is a new chapter, and I am excited to work with the entire team at Pivot. In order to make the kind of videos I'm known for, I need a full line of top tier bikes and the Pivot Cycles quiver that now lives in my garage is unbelievable. It's like opening the door and seeing someone put a couple of Lambos in there. I also have to thank my long time friend Dave Weagle of DW Link fame for making the introduction. - Aaron Chase

Chase has signed a multi-year deal with Pivot Cycles. Aaron Chase will be riding the new Pivot Cycles Phoenix Carbon DH as his downhill bike with the Mach 6, Point and M4X models for enduro, dirtjump and slopestyle applications. Additional bikes will be added to the quiver as the season and events dictate.

bigquotesAaron will bring something truly unique to the Pivot family - his innovative riding style is matched only by his ability to test equipment to its very limits. We look forward to seeing Pivot Cycles in Aaron's incredible Red Bull and GoPro projects and to benefiting from his contributions to our product development process. - Chris Cocalis, President of Pivot Cycles

Chase will debut his full range of 2015 sponsors, including his Phoenix Carbon DH at the upcoming Manizales Urban Downhill Race in Colombia, where he will be filming the next video in his renowned Red Bull Media House “Through My Eyes Series”.

Ya going to be awesome seeing him on a real DH bike, not soo awesome trying to keep up with him. Great move for Pivot, Chase is a real class act.

He will finally have a true DH bike and an up to date dirt jumper and slopestyle bike
  • 6 1
He's got a sick dh bike now
  • 4 1
The cannondale was cool, but nobody besides xfusion and fox made the special rear shock for that bike, and it was meant to be a trail to enduro bike, not a freeride or DH bike
  • 3 1
He also made a great choice going with a company that covers all types of mountain biking including dirt jump and slope
  • 3 1
stoke to be riding the same bike as him next year Smile

Good to see him on a team so quickly and a multi year deal at that

I guess I will just dream big for the hope of one day having a quiver like that

Thanks god, no more claymore ahah
  • 2 1
Claymore is awesome! But clearly not enough for Chase. I think it'll be ok now.
  • 2 1
He probably just wanted to ride a big bike with a double crown fork for once, which is something Cannondale seems afraid to do probably because that market just doesn't see Cannondale as that type of manufacturer.
  • 2 0
they are afraid for a reason. people who buy DH bikes don't buy cannondales, the only people riding them would be... Aaron Chase.

Yeah AC! New back, new bike, new year!

Aaron chase was one of those guys i look up to, his one of them who made me ride bikes on a higher level. To bad Cannondale never went in to the double crown bikes, always liked their design, still have my first "good bike" a cannondale chase from 2006. One of the best things i have bought, still works fine.

I hope they make more videos with Aaron and expose him more, because he has that awesome riding style!!

Cant wait to see him ride the new bikes

The new Pivot DH frame design has really grown on me. At first, I didn't really like it... But it looks great!
  • 5 2
I liked it too when they said my frame would ship in November. Now it's January and I have zero clue when it's arriving because no information. Now it doesn't seem as cool to me. /endrant

Pivot usually has excellent customer service have you gotten in touch with them?
  • 2 1
We've received a couple so far at my shop.
  • 3 2
LBS has been in contact with Pivot and they have no information for me. Unfortunately I had to tell the LBS today that if they cannot give me a ship date by Friday, I'll cancel the order and roll with the V10. Losing out on a customer because of poor communication is not 'excellent' by any means in my opinion, considering how easy technology has made communication this generation.

That's nice they are at your shop, hopefully not just sitting there... especially when I've already fully paid for a frame and still waiting here Smile
  • 3 2
Get a V10 ustemuf. I ended up getting a Santa Cruz when I wanted a different bike and they didn't mess me around!
  • 3 2
@ustemuf are you sure it's not the shop jerking you around? Maybe they just want to sell you the V10 rather than the Pivot? Maybe contact Pivot directly to see what your shop has inbound....
  • 2 1
Tuff to beat santa cruz really..does anyone else offer free, top tier demos from HQ?
  • 5 2
@kabanosipyvo my cousin works for Santa Cruz, I would be buying direct from them for probably 1/2 the cost of the Pivot frame. It is not the LBS, they will lose out on the sale completely, unfortunately out of their control.

I have been patient, but it's pretty much worn out. I should be riding by now.
  • 1 0
Yeah, it was just a thought...either way you will have an awesome ride though.
  • 1 1
 jrocksdh - yeah transition does!
  • 2 0
maybe they read my post cause the frame supposedly shipped today Smile hoping for 32lb build.
  • 2 0
Ha! Congrats...I'll keep my fingers crossed that it actually works out for you.
