The English Lake district hosts many of the PMBA events

The PMBA Enduro team have big plans for 2017, we are always listening and gathering feedback so believe we have a selection of events that enduroists will love. All run under BEMBA guidelines to maximise rider safety and reduce confusion with a common core rulebook. While the EWS racers will excited by the National Championship plans, 11-year-old novices will be glad they can race our winter grassroots event at Gisburn Forest. Eight races over the next 12 months with different styles and formats highlighting the versatility of the Enduro format

Datatag UK National Enduro Championships

We kept being asked to do something bigger, and here it is a National Championships! We negotiated race use of the private woodlands of the Graythwaite Estate last year building five fresh cut stages for the Northern Champs and it was brilliant. An awesome setting and demanding stages, this will be the base for the Datatag UK National Enduro Championships. Held over three days the epic course does not just use the Graythwaite estate but also delves deep into Grizedale Forest and takes in both Lake Windermere and Coniston Water. With new stages at Grizedale being progressed with the Forestry commission we'll be able to keep it fresh and with almost free reign on what we can do at Graythwaite there is no doubt this will be an awesome course at an unmissable event.

Hope/PMBA Enduro Series

Five rounds at five venues, the series is back for its 4th year. With so many good events on in 2016, it was great to be the riders choice, the most popular series in the country. We'll be delivering fun in bucketloads again for 2017, in a series that shows the versatility of the enduro format. Events which are true grassroots funduros but also rounds that will be a greater challenge for our more experienced racers. No seeding or stage start times, just ride with your mates!

5 - 8/9th October 2-day final Grizedale Forest

Gisburn forest in March and a great venue to ease us into the series at the start of the year, 1-day grassroots enduro. Round two Lee Quarry and Havok Bike Park, short steep stages and a big loop on bridleways tieing the venues together gives this a real adventure feel. Return of Gnar bike park for round three, a completely different style again, with lots of short stages. With so compact a space the atmosphere kicks off and racing the same track multiple times is just another twist in the format. Kirroughtree and a more traditional format the loam filled woods of South West Scotland will no doubt deliver a great day of racing. Series final gets pumped to a big two-day event; some of our longest and greatest elevation stages of the series can be found over a variety of steep, technical, rocky, rooty, flowy and fast terrain; which we'll weave into a suitable course. For the series overall your points you can drop your worst score of the first four rounds. The final counts but attendance is not compulsory.

The first half the available entries open Monday 28th November at Midday, keep an eye on www.pmba.org.uk/enduro for more event information.

PMBA Day/Night Enduros

PMBA Enduro Announce 2017 Calender
To keep you entertained through the winter we have two special events, based on the successful event back in January. Our Day/Night format maximises the fun that can be had on a short winter's day, morning practice and an afternoon race lap are performed in daylight and as the sun goes down we dish out your free bowl of chilli before carrying on racing with a second race lap on the same stages - but only if you want to. Podiums for day, night and combined so plenty of chance at a prize too if your fast enough. The first of these later this month at Gisburn forest will be 100% trail centre and technically very easy, an ideal first enduro. Ages 11+ can compete but 11-13 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult on the transitions, it can be another racer or non-racer who takes them round the lap. Thanks to Escape Bike Shop for sponsoring the event. Grizedale will be more technically challenging and we'll be using off piste stages, and a great way to welcome in 2017. Both events will be £46.50, include supper, Grizedale will also include parking and back to our normal 14+ age categories.

@thenotoriousmic - actually having been up and seen how unused and overgrown they are ... no, they arent getting used. There's no where really to park and its a fair ride from Grizedale or the Ferry where there is for most people.

The tracks up graythwaite hall look great definitely need to open them to the public.

The event will be the one and only time they are used, no locals advantage if its new to everyone. But thanks, there was over 1000 man hours into building them for last years event.
