The POC ESC in making sure this epic race season is going to end on an explosive note. The POC ESC East Coast Super Championships at Mountain Creek Bike Park will crown the best downhill racers on the East Coast. If schooling your bike buddies in the most competitive race of the year isn't reward enough, this event is the USA Cycling Eastern Regional Championship and has a big additional incentive: a $5,000 cash purse with $2000 of that slotted for amateurs.

Mountain Creek

This is a first of its kind event, so here's the deal:

The race is open to everyone. Saturday is qualifying day. There are three ways to be included in the finals on Sunday:

1. Finish in the top ten point standings for your class in the ESC New England Cup series
2. Finish in the top ten point standings for your class in the ESC Atlantic Cup series
3. Finish in the top ten in qualifying on Saturday

Everyone MUST start and finish a qualifying run on Saturday.

Eastern States Cup 2014

If you don't manage to qualify on Saturday, you'll just have to be content with free riding on Sunday at one of the best bike parks in the country.

Mountain Creek

The race will feature a new course that combines some classic Mountain Creek trails with a unique finish in the water park. The course begins on Twist then follows a new exit to Breakout. It then flows into the technically demanding fall line of Slayer. A freshly-cut trail connects Slayer to a dramatic sprint through the water park to the finish.

Pinkbike should fly Claudio around the world all year to shoot his magic before big races like this.

I love seeing Mountain Creek continuing to add new trails and features when races come through. Always adapting and getting bigger. This place kicks!

glad to see them using slayer as a race course, if MCBP reads this, can i still ride saturday or sunday if im not racing? hate to miss one of the last weekends just because of a race.

You can definitely ride even though the races are going on. The races generally don't effect much besides the trails the race is on. Other than having to stop and cross the track here and there you barely notice it.
