Polygon Bikes have been manufacturing and selling bikes all over the world for the past 25 years. What better way to celebrate their 25 year anniversary by opening an office in North America and bringing their product to the United States market.

They only have 2 models for north america wtf
  • 1 0
Yea what is up with that? They have an absolutely huge bike lineup for all the other countries! What if I wanted a DH bike, or an XC hardtail? What if I wanted/ could only afford a lower spec of the two that they offer? So frustrating really....
  • 1 0
I really don't understand why these companies do this , I understand it cost more money etc. but the profit has to outweigh the taxes and shipping , and then to only offer 2-3 bikes is retarded
  • 14 1
We currently do not have a warehouse big enough to house all of the models that we want to bring into the North American market. We are looking at expanding and will be bringing in other bikes and other models as soon as we can. Once we have more models and bikes available we will post something about it on our website. www.polygonbikes.us

It's awesome that you guys are replying on here, that shows real dedication to the north american market, props. And good to know that you do have plans for the other models. Cheers!

Any US distributors or will you only be selling direct? What if a shop wants to carry a frameset and/or the brand?
  • 3 0
Currently we are only selling online, if a shop contacts us and it is a good fit for the brand that is something we will look at for sure.
  • 1 0
well you should do it. ive been trying to convince bicyclesonline in australia to ship me one and ill set up the courier but they wont budge.
  • 6 0
I like it. There, I said it. It's as weird as a resurrected Mountain Cycle, but I bet it rides pretty good!
  • 4 0
The bikes climb well and descend even better. We have been product test "riding bikes" in Hood River for the past three days and we are so excited to start selling these bikes.

What happens if you have a warranty issue ?? Or need spare parts ? Doesn't mention anything on the site that I can see. Great price but I don't know if its good enough to out weight the fact that you will be hooped if you have issues. And lets face it, you will, we are not riding these things to the grocery store and back.
  • 10 1
We are in the process of opening an office in the US, in the event of a warranty issue or someone needing spare parts we will be an email or a phone call away. We are riders and want to see people riding our bikes ... not waiting on a warranty issue or spare part.

This is better than Banshee Bikes who can't even return an e-mail in regards to a defective frame. Polygon, you have my upmost respect and support!

Here in Indonesia we have more than a dozen bicycle manufacturers, but Polygon is currently rated as the best. Hutchincon UR team was previously joint sponsor with the United Bike, another bike manufacturer in Indonesia. UR = Unitef Riders. Polygon is a big and real manufacturer of bikes. Regarding the N9 i think it performs way up better than its price. Promise :p
  • 2 0
is this for real? UR = United Ride came from United Bike? for real?
  • 1 0
Yes this is real. Go Googling about history of the HUR team.

Looking good, first I thought it looked weird...the more I look at it, the more interesting.
Where to demo one? Hard to spend over 5k without demo it first.
I would build the T8 version light tho since I'm a xc-trail rider, make it to 27lbs..

enough day dreaming..back to work now.

We are looking at visiting a lot of the Enduro races in Washington and Oregon. Once we have a schedule for demo events we will post it on our website ... www.polygonbikes.us
  • 1 0
hope you can have demo here in SoCal too, all year long riding season, huge market. Frame only option is great too.
Good luck on your adventure.

By the way, does the frame has bottle cage mount? I can't see it. Sometimes I only take short ride, bring a bottle instead of hydration bag, I will need bottle cage.
  • 2 0
I would love to make it down to SoCal, will try to make it happen. No bottle cage mounts on the bikes, not many places that one would fit ...

O bummer. Not even under the downtube...well, thanks anyway.
BTW, is Sik Mik gonna be racing in Chille this weekend?
  • 2 0
I think Sik Mik is in Australia for the next DH race.

We have had polygon over here in Australia for a few years now in the same mode and after some early teething problems the current users, at least those that post on Rotorburn (Australia's most popular mtb site) seem pretty stoked. The level of support i good and warranty issues seem to be sorte quickly, but are few and far between as the bikes are generally really well put together. I haven't heard of any major failures and I think the reason some of thei bikes are a little heavier is because they err on the side of overbuild. I have ridden a few of the older Collusus models and you can see where the development has come for these models. The older version I found to be up ther with a lot of higher priced rides (I currently have a commencal meta an the polygon just lacked a touch of balance in comparison). I am looking forward to giving this new version a flogging the first chance I get.
  • 2 0
.. And I have to ask - the team rides with Bos, wouldn't a team version with Kirk and Deville be an option?
  • 3 0
I know that a BOS service center has just been recently opened in the USA. We do not want to leave our customers high and dry so service centers for the parts we spec is something that is important to us. We will have to look into the possibilities of work with BOS on a team spec.

People not loving this bike are wrong...
The suspension kinetics looks very clever. Most of the motion will occur at the lower link, eliminating the need for a long upper link such as on Treks and Spesh´s. In turn, this will result in a near vertical wheel travel yielding less resistance on bumps. Brake, and pedal forces will not be a problem either..

So, to achieve this, you need a new and radical design.

Have to admit, their price point for these builds is going to open some eyes...

 cheap, and ugly. great.
  • 4 0
I think that it has a polarizing design. That being said, I love it!
  • 4 0
Thanks for the love, it rides amazingly and we can not wait to get more people on these bikes.
  • 1 0
Will these be offered in frame sets as well?
  • 3 0
Frame sets are something we are looking at bringing in. I guess it depends on how many people ask for them. If the market is there for frame only then we are going to offer it. Let us know if you want frame only ... support@polygonbikes.us

One can say that the N9 is cheaper but i am sure that most of every one would notice that this is an expensive bike (when you ride it around your house just to show off) LoL
  • 3 0
really dope design and prices! nice
  • 2 0
 thanks

I'm just hoping for an affordable version of the new prototype DH to come out eventually, looks like a crazy fun bike!
  • 2 0
The race course in South Africa calls for a different type of DH bike. I think the majority of the racers were on bikes that will never be released to the public.

You can't polish a turd but you can throw glitter on it.
  • 24 1
There is an Episode of Myth Busters where they actually polish a turd, but sadly at the end of the show the turd did not ride as well as our bikes do.
