The season is getting into gear and it's time to go out and give your local DJ's a little love. Check out a little preview of the boys getting the Post Office Jumps back into shape for some epic sessioning in 2011!For the past week or so, local and non local riders have come out to Post Office Jumps to maintain and change a few things around, as well as get them buffed for the upcoming
Santa Cruz MTB Festival that is going down on April 9th and 10th. The jumps are getting some much needed love and everything will be dialed for the riders. Check out the photos below to see what's been going down!
Things are still a bit wet at the Post Office, but it is starting to look good again. Nothing some shovel work with some good friends can't fix!
Now this is what I'm talking about! This landing is nearly ready for action.
The weather has been less than kind to the jumps lately, with some lakes popping up here and there. We've been using a pump to drain them - much faster than buckets.
Some teamwork brings this landing back to life.
Is trail building a union job? It's good to get everyone's opinion as work is getting done.
Even though it has been wet lately, a bit of water makes the work much easier. Guy giving the dirt a drink.
The old wood booter was looking a bit worse for wear, but they soon realized that it would make a fun wallride as well when tipped on it's side. Recycling at the jumps!
An old broken ramp is all it takes to get Guy to play.
Howey follows Guy with a tuck no-hander. Who says you need big and fresh jumps to have some fun?
Not one to sit and watch, Cob joins in on the ghetto-ramp party.
Heads up! It is always important to be aware of flying hand tools while working at the jumps... you never know when a flying pick is going to come out of nowhere!
Spring is here and it is time to give your local trails some much needed attention - have you been out with the shovel yet?
Glad to see them keeping it alive!
