Scribd is used because the results are released as PDF it would appear. But no reason Pinkbike can't render those to normal images (ImageMagick) for people to use, rather than that sluggish scribd thing.
Perhaps, @simooo, but that would mean the results wouldn't get posted for at least another 10-15 seconds. That's an eternity in the information/tech age!
Sorry, but I don't understand what all your complaints are about? After looking at the times I thought the first comments would be something along the lines - WTF? Rude placed 1st in all 4 stages on 1st day? But then, maybe I'm stupid...
Look at the times of comments posted; When this article was first posted, the title simply read "EWS - Aina Results" and displayed the results of the prologue. Except it said nothing about the prologue or any mention of what these "results" meant. Leave it to the members of pinkbike to have to investigate and post in the comments section what it all means so everybody doesn't freak out.
To be honest, I think PBs coverage of the EWS is shit and I would appreciate a much stronger effort to post results and photo epics in some sort of orderly fashion so course previews don't come after results are posted and photo epics are ongoing.
I like vitals content but hate their lay out. But have you seen how easy it is to read the results? You click the article then look at the times. Not reroute to a different website and have to go through a series of clicks to get what I want (f*ck you scribd)
The prologue times don't count for the overall. I don't know if it sets the start times for tomorrow,if so it's a really good move from some of the riders. That loose rocks on the trails will be cleaned by the first riders, making the trail faster for the others..
Theres gotta be a tactical reason for not caring about this stage, anyone care to enlighten me, both Rude and Graves obviously aren't 30 secs+ behind the leader without good reason.
"this weekend the prologue was declared mandatory, but the time would not count towards the race "
Disregard, answered my own question. However they SHOULD just send Claudio down, riders must beat his time, anyone that doesn't gets 5 secs added, THAT would be entertaining!
I gotta admit, PB often confuses the piss outta me with some of their posts/'stories', but then again, I'm old and have bumped my head a few times. Nevertheless, it'd be nice if they took the time to fricken explain WTF this 'Prologue' is, and WTF some female competitor is doing dressed up like she's a member of Cirque Du Soleil(I freely admit, I had to use Google to get the spelling correct), while also carrying an apparent SRAM-sponsored plastic dagger. I've had acid trips that were less confusing-okay maybe I haven't.
and double wtf. Where'd the outfits go? Thought i was gonna see at least a blondie in a pink kit!
