Congrats Sam from everyone here at Pinkbike.com! Have a kick ass year!
Sam rode for Transition the past few seasons on grassroots and this past season on factory. Now Norco.
Excuse my ignorance Dustin, but how come they won't let him ride a 250? Is it just because the 4hun is their "flagship" sort of hardtail?
Truffles, the option is there but the 250 is very proprietary as far as the parts go. Sam is also sponsored by Shimano - their cranks will not mount on the BMX BB of the 250, same goes for the seat post sizing and a few other bits. This is why the team riders are on the 4Hun, well that and it's strong enough to take a beating.
Norco Factory Team riders have full choice on what they ride. We manufacture a full line of bikes and want each and every rider to have a bike that will let them put their best foot forward. The 4Hun is a great street/DJ bike and the team riders have embraced that fact as many are riding this model currently. You will notice though that Dylan Korba is actually riding a Two50 and loving it. There is no dictation from Norco as to what bike a Team Rider will ride.
wow - Norco definatly really look after and care for there team riders - i think this support and help will really help keep Sam Dueck pushing forwards with his bags of talents - awesome signing!

congrats to you sam.....hope to hang again at winterpark..lets hope we dont have that seat problem again.
congrats man I hear NORCO is one of the best teams to be on They treat there riders great and help them any way they can on the biking seen
They are a great company too. They have amazing riders, this is also another great company with great opportunities for a rider like Sam to grow with as Casey Groves is showing and growing with Transition.
That is awesome that NORCO is adding more tricksters to their team. I hope Boyko stay's with NORCO Hee is one of the best in the game by far!

Got too big for transition..... bummer for them.
On the bright side, it's great that he's getting the recognition he deserves!
He's going to love the Norco Empire too! (Great bike)

I wish they kept Kinrade on the whole time! He was and now is one of the greatest ambassadors of the sport! He brought the first Norco rider driven feel to that company. Nevertheless there is always room for the new styles of rider like Sam! I hope Norco keeps him rocking!
