A short time ago we offered all you amateur video editors a chance to strike it rich (ok get noticed). A chance to play with high end footage, featuring some of the best DH racers and riders in the world, filmed by the people that do it the best. This update is to let you know that this chance is coming to a end, so open up that editing program once more, dial in that section, and get it up on Pinkbike Recut.
Over 240 people have already attempted to prove to us what they are made of, through video editing and audio work. For rules, regulations, and instructions to submit your video check out Pinkbike's recut page. Also, if you have any questions about the Recut contest, please post your question in the Seasons Recut forum.

Expect great prizing from the following companies:
Dakine-Filmer's Bag
Bontrager-Components
Whistler Bike Park-Bike Park Pass
Pinkbike.com-Cash
Helly Hansen-Jacket
Shimano-Saint Cranks
Adidas Eyewear-Eyewear package
Specialized-Deviant Helmet
The Collective Film Group-Cash
*A chance that the overall winner will be featured in the Bonus Section of the new Seasons film from the Collective*.
You only have until March 31st at Midnight to get your submissions in, so hurry up and put that last fade to black in, and get it up on the site.

are the judges goi9ng to look trough all of the videos or just the ones with more views and comments???
Yes, all the videos will be looked at.
I also downloaded some footage, but i cant import it to the edit programs.
f......k!!!!!
f......k!!!!!
you probably just have a booty ass PC. get a mac
Awesome! I might just have one more Recut up my sleeve!
EDIT: To all the people who are having problems importing their footage, there is a program called "PRISM VIDEO CONVERTER" and the reason your footage wont work is because not many programs are good with .MOV footage. So with Prism you can convert it to AVI, FLV, MPG, anything really. GOOD LUCK!

this is what I am being told, can anybody let me in on how to get by this??

Providing there are no other security issues:
The sandboxerror is misleading. It seems the only problem, maybe for many people out there would be the following (at least if they were using the macromedia example):
/* Upload the file to the PHP script on the server. */
selectedFile.upload("http://www.helpexamples.com/flash/file_io/uploadFile.php");
Which should translate to:
selectedFile.upload("http://www.yoursite.com/something/something/uploadFile.php");
NOW: do NOT use this way of adressing the php-script. This is what triggers the sandbox error. Seems this is interpereted as an outside source...
Use the local filename only:
selectedFile.upload("uploadFile.php");
This fixes it 98% of the time. The other 2% means the coder didn't get it right, or there are permission problems on the box.

Edit: I got that description, from another site but it should work for you.
