Seven Springs Bike Park is pleased to announce the 2008 FREE Ride Weekend, July 12 – 13, 2008.

The Bike Park Crew has been building some sweet new trails in the Seven Springs Bike Park and would like to invite riders to come ride the park for FREE – That’s right, unlimited FREE lift tickets all weekend long! The high-speed, six-passenger chairlift will be running extended hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., July 12 – 13.

Additionally, there will be FREE bicycle test rides from Kona, Trek Factory, Trek WSD and Santa Cruz Bicycles. In addition to their standard fleet, Trek will be making a special delivery of 2008 Remedy and Session freeride bikes. All combined, there will be more than 100 bikes available for riders to test ride at no charge.

Riders can choose between a variety of chairlift-accessed trails ranging from entry-level cross-country trails to expert-only downhill and freeride trails. Plenty of flowy, fun and exciting trails for riders looking for a mild bike path to share with their family or an epic freeride trail complete with ladder bridges, rock drops, fall-line sections and 20+ foot jumps.

Of course, it’s also nice to have a good après ride party, so the Foggy Goggle Bar is the place for music, $2 drafts and a barbecue starting at 11 a.m. each day. And for riders who want to stay all weekend, there is a special lodging rate starting at $135 available for FREE Ride participants. On top of all that, Seven Springs is even giving away a new bike to one lucky rider.

How do riders get involved in the FREE Ride Weekend? Just show up at the Foggy Goggle bar on July 12 and 13 with the proper safety gear to ride the park and test ride bikes for FREE. Call (866) 437-1300 early to reserve your lodging, since the special rate is first-come-first-served and the hotel is almost full!

Give Konad a break, he doesn't know who posted this article and neither does anybody else. It should state where the resort it, whoever did the write-up, thats a mistake I can assure. Why tear him up for something so stupid and meaningless. That really grinds my gears.

Konad, How hard is it to follow the link to the resort, and get directions from there? They even have a nifty little thing on it that takes you to map quest so is all you have to do is put in your address. How about you start feeding yourself instead of having other people do it!

ive grown up on the resort my entire life and have been working with builders since its conception, its a small resort that focuses on families and has everything there is to do. its a young bike park but however Judd Devall has been the main designer, he's a former DH racer. Spangler has also been hanging out these past couple weeks. its going to be another great place to spend a weekend on the east coast . long live Freeriding

I spoke with someone at the resort and from what they said, there are only 2 DH trails with a 3rd on the way. The rest of the trails are XC... The website makes it sound like they half a decent amount of shuttle worthy trails but I think not... I don't think I'll make the 6 hour drive. Maybe next season.

Hi Konad. I'm going to try to say this nicely, but you're a very confused person. Pinkbike doesn't write up these little ads. They are call "press releases". The press release is prepared by the resort itself, and then sent out to the various media, in this case, pinkbike. Pinkbike is only posting up what they got from the resort, nothing more, nothing less. You would do well in the future to better inform yourself. On that note, I would agree that the "resorts" need to do a better job with their press releases. However, good rule of thumb is that if you havn't heard of the resort, chances are it's too far away for you to worry about.

ok well, i looked at the ad to make sure it was posted by pinkbike. and weather it was or wasnt,i noticed it said"by: spoiledgoods",and i beleive thats a worker at pinkbike.hes had thousands of post etc.2nd people travle the whole world man,you dont no where you will end up, amarica is rite below me man.i only get up to whistler a coupel times. just goign there once would still be alot for me. so maybe im a very confused person, but i still tried my best to make sure i wasnt going to out of line on things.and the bottom line to me is just tell me where the resort is whoever makes the add.

Ya, it's got "spoiled goods" name on it, but that just because he's the pinkbike employee who posted the press release on the website, not because he prepared the press release.

Hopefully the new trails will be cool.. the original trail is okay... but is on the easy side. Though it's only a 3 hour drive so i can't complain! I'll be there.
