 Agreed - probably because it's "nerdy". You get to study the rider's technique and the bike's dynamics in detail.
Don't get me wrong - I love loads of cool effects, stunning shots and sweet soundtracks as much as the next guy - but this is way more INTERESTING.

 Good edits are works of art - music, cuts, the right amount of slo-mo, but nothing beats the sound of your tires grinding, skipping, and the sudden silence of air. This made me feel like I was there.

 Hey bud, of course there's cuts, otherwise there would only be one clip! For reference, there are currently no cameras - whether you're spending $500 or $50,000 - that record sound when the camera is set to record footage in slow-motion. In this video (as with anything shot slo-mo by anyone) you have to add the sound of non-slow-mo bikes going past over the slow-mo shots, but you can't simply slow down the sound...it sounds worse than awful as sound is recorded in a totally different way, so without going into loads of tech detail, it's not possible. You either get regular original sound that gives you as close to the original experience or silence.
