This is bs, should be free for anyone to see this on spot.... the mountain aint yours dear Redbull

I wonder if it is on private land. If it is held on BLM land, they really can't stop you.
  • 15 2
Pretty sure I read that it's on private land, and is theirs to limit.

look at footage from the first few years. there were so many people there that it was causing issues with them getting in the way.

 30 bucks isn't bad

I've gone every year for the last 4 years, and to be honest they could be charging WAY more. Tickets sell out every year within 15 minutes so why the heck would you not charge for it? They wouldn't be putting on rampage if they didn't make money.

all proceeds go to making red bull media player better hahahahah.................. i wish...
  • 5 4
 all about that $$$$
  • 10 2
I would happily pay more than $30 to watch athletes to risk life and limb at this event. You're on glue.

@instigator: this guy knows the history. 2003 was a mess. people running in front of Cedric and others. The cap is for rider and spectator safety.

limiting spectators is a must. As I see it there are two ways, one is what they did. And the second will be charging a lot more for ticket, lets say 500 each.

@shsfreeride: yeah same here ticket prices have only gone up like 10 dollars. If you are hardcore you will drop everything to buy the tickets the moment it gets unlocked. Like my whole group of friends did today. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEE
  • 3 6
@shsfreeride: red bull has so much money. after what happened last year, with the injuries and such, red bull barley helps out with medical bills. Most of the athletes can barely afford to travel to the desert for 2 weeks.
  • 2 0
@Colelrg: i get the impression based on earlier press releases that that is changing.
  • 7 0
@bridgermurray: People complaining about a $30 ticket, I guess they fail to realize people pay more than 10x that on airfare. Complaining about $30 for that level of entertainment "really?!"
  • 3 1
So how do the athletes get prizes?

If we don't pay they don't get paid. If a bike tumbles off the cliff and hits you all the way to the hospital door, you're all alone buddy.

Some respect please.

food for thought, how much costs a Justin Bieber concert?
  • 4 0
This is what's wrong with Mountain Biking. We complain that o there's no money in the sport but as spectators and the audience we want everything free. We can't have our cake and eat it too. Hell I would pay a nominal fee just like pay per view to live stream it! As long as they throw away red bull media player in the process.

 @SnowshoeRider4Life: you got it.

@JC9won4: 30 bucks and they make you ride, or walk 4 miles each way!
Small price for such a unique event.
  • 1 0
$30 is less than the cost of a lift ticket at every bike park I've ever been to.
  • 1 0
It used to be free till they found out people would gladly pay to be there...
  • 36 3
I'd pay more if we could be assured the money was going to some type of insurance for the riders

$100 in and haven't seen a single ride over the last 2 years because of weather and event delays. Nothing that Red Bull can do about that but I'm gonna give it a rest this year.
  • 1 0
I guess the small number of tickets is to keep the dopey shit tards down so as to not muck up the course with dopey shit tards, but a dirty 30? All that gnar for that little scrilla? I can't believe they're not at least a hundo.

Missed out on all the sales last year then lucked out and got a spare ticket from a guy on the lift in Park City Smile best 2 days I've had round there. Worth 10x the ticket price and so much more impressive than on tv
